As musical dynasties go, few can rival the legendary Motown. 

For six decades, the iconic imprint has produced star after star who’ve delivered hit after seismic hit.

Last night saw its unparalleled legacy honored with CBS special ‘Motown 60: A GRAMMY Celebration.’ 

That Grape Juice was on-hand at the Microsoft Theater, LA taping, which fused Motown originals such as Diana Ross and Smokey Robinson with contemporary acts who rocked the house with  spirited tributes.

Ciara brought her brand of stage-blazing to a Rick James medley, John Legend offered a masterful Marvin Gaye salute, and Ne-Yo gave a nod to Lionel Ritchie. Elsewhere, Fantasia, Meghan Trainor, Tori Kelly, and Chloe x Halle, joined Thelma Houston for a Women Of Motown medley.

Ciara is prepping new album ‘Beauty Marks’ for release on May 10th and is hitting up platforms to share the news.

Her latest stop was Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and in true form host Andy Cohen (and his callers) didn’t hold back with the questions.

CiCi was quizzed on new music, including the possibility of a collaboration with Nicki Minaj; she was also asked about her present-day thoughts on Rihanna, and husband Russell Wilson‘s colossal new deal with the Seattle Seahawks.

With Ciara‘s seventh album ‘Beauty Marks’ due in less than a month, the singer is hitting the promo circuit on her terms.

Case in point, a newly unwrapped acoustic performance of the LP’s latest single ‘Thinkin Bout You.’

With the song building steadily on Pop radio and on streaming platforms too, the new take on the track arrives right on time.

Ciara is strutting on to the May 10th release of new album ‘Beauty Marks.’

Serving as her 7th studio set, the project is preceded by singles ‘Level Up,’ ‘Dose,’ and newest number ‘Thinkin Bout You.’

The video for the latter received ample praise upon its unveiling two weeks ago and now CiCi is tasked with pushing the song the more.

Ahead of a more traditional performance, she took the Smule app to offer a live rendition of the funkified jam.

Ciara is off to a flying start with new single ‘Thinkin Bout You.’

The funky cut is the lead-in release for the singer’s seventh studio album ‘Beauty Marks,’ which arrives via her like titled label on May 10th.

Thus far, the project has been previewed by way of songs such as ‘Level Up,’ ‘Dose,’ and ‘Greatest Love.’

Notably, though, none of the aforementioned received a radio push and seemed designed to drum up online buzz.

However, with ‘Thinkin,’ it seems Team CiCi are going full throttle and are yielding great results out of the gate.

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the fun-filled visual follows a growing list of clips CiCi has rolled out in support of her upcoming project.

Indeed, thus far fans have feasted on the likes of viral smash ‘Level Up,’ ‘Dose,’ and ‘Greatest Love.’

‘Wake Up, No Make Up’ singer Ciara is waking fans up to new music from her long-awaited seventh album, ‘Beauty Marks.’

The follow-up to a string of critically acclaimed cuts (see:  ‘Greatest Love,’ ‘Dose,’ and ‘Level Up’), the new tune – ‘Thinkin Bout You’ – has been teased in earnest since its announcement just days ago (click here to read).

Undoubtedly a 1,2 step away from her usual sonic offerings as she’s best known for party-starters and bass heavy slow jams, ‘Thinkin’ rings as an 80s-inspired, mid-tempo funk groove akin to the offerings of fellow Urban stageblazer Janelle Monae.
