It seems Madonna‘s taste for controversy has rubbed off on those around her; namely producer Martin Sloveig.

For, the ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ crafter made quite the gaffe when talking up the 53 year old in a recent interview.

It all started out so well.

Backed by a mammoth promotional campaign, Madonna‘s “comeback” single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” seemed poised to smash charts globally.

And yet, merely weeks removed from its release, the song is far from faring well in a number of key territories.

The champ is here!

With her latest Nicki Minaj/M.I.A.-assisted single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ getting nothing but love from fans, music monarch Madonna continues her reign over contemporaries with reports that ‘Luvin’ has landed her a 38th top 10 single.  The first single lifted from her 12th studio album “MDNA”, due March 26, only extended the singer’s etch in history books as original gain of the record came from 2008’s ‘4 Minutes To Save the World’ (her 37th top 10).

While Barbadian pop princess Rihanna bumped Madge from atop her other Billboard record (most top 10s in shortest time) by only 5 months, she does not stand as a present threat to dethrone the diva from this newly secured placement.

There are a few who still can, however.  Find out who after the jump:

‘Stupid Hoe’ hitmaker Nicki Minaj may have won new fans after scoring a touchdown with her Superbowl performance with pop icon Madonna last week, but last night’s showing at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards probably didn’t win the starlet anything more than a mountain of mixed reviews.

Debuting her new number ‘Roman Holiday’, lifted from her April-due sophomore album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ the multi-personality performer took to ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ to dish on details of the performance, the response from spectators, her new single ‘Starships’ (due tomorrow), days with Madge, and more.

While the femcee/fashionista was recently caught fronting the latest Fashion edition of New York magazine, her faithful Barbs can now get a listen at her time with Seacrest after the jump:

Despite the enormous campaign that supported Madonna‘s ‘Give Me All Ur Lovin’, the track has done all but impress on a charts front.

So in order to generate an even greater buzz for her new ‘MDNA’ LP, the icon has confirmed the name of ‘Luvin‘s follow up single during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

And the claws are out!

Following last Sunday’s Superbowl 2012 half time show, which saw Madonna perform with Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green and MIA, the icon has responded to the controversy surrounding the latter’s fauxpas during the performance.

Her interesting remarks below…

In an era when most acts’ success doesn’t last 30 minutes, Pop royal Madonna has 30 years of chart-topping under her belt;  a trend which looks set to continue – even at the ripe age of 53.

For, spearheaded by the Super Bowl and a mammoth Clear Channel campaign, the Material Girl’s new album has broken iTunes records – more than a month before release.

Since announcing the arrival of her new album ‘MDNA’, Madonna has ensured she be the subject of many a headline. And while her “Pop royal” status was always going to command the attention of the masses, it’s her comments on megastar Lady GaGa which has drawn the most gasps.

Indeed, the Material Girl has not held back in relaying her belief that the ‘Born This Way’ singer’s output has been “reductive” and lifted from her own.

Ever keen to hear what the masses think, That Grape Juice hit the streets of Hollywood to hear what folk are saying about the matter.

Armed with moves that would make any Bengay sponsor proud, Icy Hot hitmaker ‘Vogue’ veteran Madonna has certainly been the center of entertainment chatter since her show-stopping performance at last night’s Superbowl Halftime.  As updated reports have surfaced indicating that the singer set Superbowl and TV records by helping draw in the the largest audience ever for a television program (111 million for actual game, 114 million viewers for Halftime show), any contests to the Pop queen’s status may need to be withdrawn.

Always one to capitalize on hype, fans who have become familiar with the deluxe cover of ‘MDNA’ – her 12th LP – have now been invited to view it’s standard alternate (source):

The view comes shortly after news surfaced that her Superbowl showing was not the only touchdown the ‘Take A Bow’ beauty landed.  Not set to hit shelves until March 26th,  Itunes has reported that ‘MDNA’ (after three days of availability) has already moved 50,000 units in pre-sale with its lead single, ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’, also enjoying handsome sales and set to make to make a splash on next week’s chart.

The Nicki Minaj/M.I.A.-assisted venture joins other items from Madge’s back catalogue (Greatest Hits, LPs, etc.) that have collectively enjoyed a 1,700% sales increase (full impact expected to be revealed next week).

Debate may rage about Madonna‘s “Queen of Pop” status, however the ratings of her Super Bowl half-time show last night make one thing certain: she remains a commercial force.

7-time Grammy winner Madonna gave new meaning to the title ‘Queen of Pop’ as she popped, locked, and dropped it on the Lucas Oil Stadium Superbowl stage at tonight’s long-anticipated set.  Giving her first live rendition of soon-to-be-hit ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ (with Hip Hop eccentrics M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj), the Bridgestone-sponsored showing brought the ‘Borderline’ beauty to the Indianapolis halftime-stage where she also lent electric performances of past hits ‘Vogue’, ‘Music’, and more.

Don’t call it a comeback.

Looks like fans were looking to give ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ maestra Madonna a little more just their love as reports are surfacing the single’s parent album ‘MDNA’ has skyrocketed to #1 in 49 countries!  Just hours after getting fans familiar with the ‘Luvin’ visual, the diva is dominating Itunes charts globally.

Less than 12 hours from its Itunes pre-order release, the set (not due until March 26th) is finding itself atop Itunes listings in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and France just to name a few .

If this is any indication of what is to come, the ‘Take a Bow’ beauty is assuredly readying a takeover of Billboard charts in late March.  Until then, fans can expect to see her takeover their tubes for this Sunday’s Superbowl.
