Thanks to the ongoing success of his sophomore single, ‘Panini,’ rapper/singer Lil Nas X continues to disappoint critics who’d written him off as a “one hit wonder.”

The follow-up to the colossal hit, ‘Old Town Road’ (which shattered Billboard records for longest reigning #1 single), ‘Panini’ – much like its predecessor – is enjoying a run in Billboard’s upper rankings thanks to multiple music videos, a number of remixes, and performances on top tier outlets and award shows in its support.  Being armed with a futuristic, Mike Diva-directed music video hasn’t hurt either as the most refreshed charts reveal the tune’s bounced right into the Hot 100’s top 10.

As if that’s not enough, the new peak is accompanied by news the song has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

‘Old Town Road’ star Lil Nas X (born Montero Hill) may have seen his follow-up, ‘Panini,’ gallop to a #16 peak on the Hot 100 (to date), but thanks to the enduring success of the former the 20-year-old had to pump the brakes on its promotion.

That all changed with the 2019 MTV VMAs when Hill took to the stage to unveil a futuristic performance, a theme that transcended to the song’s official music video that premiered just two weeks later (click here to watch).  Now, in a bid to pad the positive impact of the visual on the ‘7’ tune’s Hot 100 commercial performance, Hill’s teamed with rapper DaBaby (born Jonathan Kirk) for a remix.  Taking to Twitter to announce, Hill – who’s earned quite the reputation for being an “internet troll” – said the Kirk-assisted revamp would be the first of 25 the tune received over the life cycle of its promotion.

While we await news on if that’s true or not, look inside to hear what the duo cooked up:

Kevin Hart may be expected to make a full recovery from the slew of physical injuries obtained after being involved in a major car crash last weekend (click here to read), his reputation on the other hand – namely among LGBT fans – may not be so fortunate.

The comedian certainly wasn’t generating any laughs when he took to HBO Sports’ series, ‘The Shop: Uninterrupted,’ alongside a star-studded group of guests that included chart-topping rapper/singer Lil Nas X.  In the episode – set to air in full Thursday night (September 5) – LNX discusses what inspired him to come out as a gay man at the height of his short, but storied career.

Hart’s insensitive questioning, interruptions during the 20-year-old’s speech, and downplaying the importance of the ‘Old Town Road’ star’s life event has incited fury among his supporters.  Taking to Twitter in droves to voice their disapproval, look inside to see highlights of the responses:
