Tamar Braxton is renown for her outspokenness, but this time it’s for a wholly serious cause.

The R&B star has been a firm fixture in the headlines over the last year, thanks to the implosion of her marriage to Vince Herbert and more recently due to falling out with WE tv (along with her sisters) over payment for their reality show ‘Braxton Family Values.’

Per reports, the latter – and the infighting it’s caused amongst the family – has seen the clan sit down with Iyanla Vazant for a special intervention.

However, during the taping, Tamar is seen walking out.

When discussing the moment on a soon-to-air episode of The Wendy Williams Show (during which she also confirmed that she served her ex with divorce papers), the singer shocked the audience by revealing that her exit was because the secret abuse she received at the hands of family members was brought up.

Opting to get in front of the matter, she’s issued a statement further elaborating and released a video for the song ‘Prettiest Girl’ (from her ‘Love & War’ album) to celebrate overcoming.

The Bobby Brown Story blazed its way to ratings glory last week, amassing a whopping viewership of over 6 million across its two-night broadcast on BET.

And it’s understandable why.

Carrying the baton of authenticity established by last year’s ‘New Edition Story,’ the biopic did a stellar job of humanizing R&B’s original bad boy by pulling the curtain back on a narrative of superstardom, pain, addiction, and redemption.

Now, it’s the turn of international audiences to see Bobby like they’ve never seen him before.

With the movie set to premiere on BET UK on September 14th, That Grape Juice caught up with its central stars – Woody McClain and Gabrielle Dennis.

During their candid chat with TGJ’s Hemah K, the pair opened up on what it was like to play Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston respectively, as well as their process of recreating their unique (and oft controversial) dynamic.

Woody also explained his recent revelation about the project being his “last” in front of the camera.

The diva supreme has unwrapped new single ‘GTFO.’

Announced just one day ago, the song’s arrival brings with it the first taste of Carey’s 15th studio album, her first since 2014’s ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse.’

The song sees Mimi team up with producer Nineteen85, who has helmed a number a major hits for Drake (‘One Dance’ and ‘Hotline Bling’).

Teyana Taylor‘s ‘KTSE’ album launch may not have been the smoothest (under the tutelage of Kanye West), but the R&B star is pressing on nonetheless.

Fresh from wrapping a like-titled tour, the 27-year-old took to the stage on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to perform two of the LP’s most notable numbers.

Backed by a full band, the songbird sewed together a medley of ‘Gonna Love Me’ and ‘Rose In Harlem.’
