Beyonce‘s BeyHive will no doubt be buzzing with jubilation today.

The singer’s sixth studio album ‘Lemonade’ hit the 1 million mark in pure (US) sales earlier this week – making it eligible for a Platinum plaque.

However, the formalising process is one that has to be actioned by an artist’s label and granted by the Recording Industry Association of America – more commonly known as the RIAA.

This morning brought with it the confirmation of what was essentially a guarantee.

With a recent string of successful hits solidifying his place within music’s elite, Justin Bieber hopes his winning streak stays uninterrupted with the release of new single ‘Company’ – lifted from his hit album ‘Purpose’.

Thus far, the LP has gifted the Canadian native three chart toppers, including ‘What Do You Mean’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Love Yourself’. Hoping to give Rihanna and Katy Perry a run for their money, Justin  unleashed the video for the cut moments ago.

Fans hoping there would be a three-peat of Bajan beauty Rihanna‘s name in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 were sorely disappointed when the singer’s megahit, ‘Work,’ was worked right out of the upper dectet by P!nk and her latest hit ‘Just Like Fire’ (found on Disney’s ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’) soundtrack.

Coming as the trapeze-loving singer’s first swing into the top 10 since 2013 (15th overall), ‘Fire’ blazes her name into 4th place in Hot 100 history books (among women).

#Navy needn’t worry, however.  With the reappearance of Calvin Harris‘s ‘This Is What You Came For’ and a new #8 peak of ‘Needed Me,’ the latest lifted from ‘Anti,’ Rih is still pulling double duty in the upper rankings of the singles chart.

Tonight marks the finale of Kelly Rowland‘s BET talent-search ‘Chasing Destiny.’

The 10-episode show saw the solo Grammy winner – together with creative director Frank Gatson – piece together (what is hoped will be) music’s next big girl group.

Their name has yet to be revealed, but they have released an official buzz track. It’s not “the” lead single, but serves a solid indicator of their sound.

Janet Jackson soared to chart glory with ‘Unbreakable’ – her first album in seven years.

The ‘No Sleeep’ led set arrived last October and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.

Still, the “era” hasn’t been entirely smooth sailing. Indeed, despite spawning a successful tour, several dates had to be postponed – first due to ill health and later due to the star’s reported pregnancy.

It’s led some to ponder whether Jackson will embark on another music project.

Fret not, because in the latest issue of Emirates Magazine (which she covers and poses for), the singer’s longtime producer and friend Jimmy Jam promises that’s there’s more magic to come.

As earlier reported, Beyonce received the Icon Award at the 2016 CFDA‘s last night.

Queen Bey was accompanying by her mogul hubby Jay Z, their adorable daughter Blue Ivy, and her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson.

The ‘Hold Up’ singer and her clan weren’t the only notable names in attendance.

Ciara and Naomi Campbell also rocked the arrival carpet and, as has become customary, slayed.
