The bigger the star, the larger the target.

Music’s first couple Beyonce and Jay Z are becoming well acquainted with this old age adage – having both fended off legal claims against them separately this year.

The latest, however, pertained to them both and their 2013 smash ‘Drunk In Love.’

Hungarian singer Mitsou claimed the duo sampled her voice and digitally manipulated it for use on the track without her permission.

That argument was struck down by a judge this week, though.

90’s sitcom ‘Moesha’ blasted Brandy‘s star into the stratosphere and launched Countess Vaughn (who played Kim Parker) into the minds of the masses.

Like most successful shows, though, the backstage dramas were just as compelling as what was taking place on the screen.

In the years since the series ceased airing, its stars have remained relatively mum about personal issues, but have confirmed their existence.

Today, however, Vaughn – who is currently starring on the Hollywood Divas reality show – reached out to Brandy via Instagram to extend an olive branch.

The internet fell in love with James Wright last month when his video endorsement of Patti Labelle‘s line of pies went all sorts of viral.

Since then, the iconic vocalist has embraced the YouTube personality and just last night brought him out for a sing-song at the WBLS Christmas Concert in New York. The pair performed Labelle’s most notable hit ‘Lady Marmalade’

Now, it’s well-known that Mama Patti doesn’t share the mic with just anyone. So, for all the fun and flare, Wright was tasked with bringing his A-game. And he sho’nuff showed up and out.

Lady Gaga‘s resurgence continues.

The immensely talented singer was named Woman of the Year at the 2015 Billboard Women In Music gala, which aired last night on Lifetime.

Before launching in to a rousing rendition of her Grammy nominated song ‘Till It Happens To You,’ Mother Monster was presented with the night’s most coveted award by her own mother Cynthia Germanotta.

Poised and elegant, the star’s mom beamed with pride as she recalled the highs and challenging times of her daughter’s ascend to superstardom.

Watched on by her father, grandmother, and fiance, Gaga – after her performance – offered a speech of her own.

If there was any doubt that Christina Aguilera could still blow the roof off a joint with her voice it was dispelled last night.

The multi-octave diva dominated at the Lincoln Center when she performed at the ‘Sinatra: Voice for a Century’ special, which celebrated (what would have been) the 100th birthday of the legendary Frank Sinatra.

Together with host Seth MacFarlane, Xtina dazzled with a spirited showing of ‘New York, New York.’

Girl, hurry with this new album already.

Fifth Harmony broke all the way out this year with the release of debut album ‘Reflection.’

Powered by a series of seismic singles, it was third effort ‘Worth It’ that really wowed and brought the recognition the Epic Records outfit have been so deserving of.

One of such honors bestowed upon the quintet was the title of Group of the Year, which was awarded to them at the 2015 Billboard Women In Music gala.

The annual special aired last night on Lifetime and saw Dinah, Normani, Camila, Lauren, and Ally rock the house with a female empowerment medley – comprised of ‘Worth It,’ Destiny’s Child‘s ‘Independent Women,’ and Sister Sledge‘s classic cut ‘We Are Family.’

Mariah Carey is in fighting form.

After a several years of being consistently inconsistent, the songbird’s voice sounds both refreshed and revitalised. Indeed, many are hailing her pipes as more powerful than they’ve been in years.

Much of this praise stems from her Christmas shows at the Beacon Theatre this week.

Carey journeyed through her catalogue of smashes with more confidence and stronger vocal output than she’s showed in the longest.

The Braxtons are renown for bringing the drama on their WE tv series ‘Braxton Family Values.’

Yet, Toni, Trina, Traci, Towanda, and Tamar are keen prove they can still bring the theatrics vocally.

The ladies took centre-stage on The Real today in support of their new Christmas LP, which is aptly titled ‘Braxton Family Christmas.’

Together, the talented quintet served up a super-charged showing of ‘Mary, Did You Know’ – a firm fan favourite from the album (which hit stores in October).
