When art imitates life.

While many artists claim to sprinkle real life narratives in their music, Robin Thicke is going the literal route.

The singer’s reps confirmed this week that his new album has been christened ‘Paula’ – after estranged wife Paula Patton.

Together for over 20 years, nine of which have been in a married capacity, the couple announced their separation this year – with Thicke publicly shouldering the “blame” and launching a campaign to ‘Get Her Back’. In line with his new literal approach, the latter is the actual title of the crooner’s recent single; one that garnered headlines aplenty following a live performance at the Billboard Music Awards back in May.

Still pushing the personal agenda, it appears the ‘Blurred Lines’ belter is gearing up to unleash the LP sooner than expected.

Denzel Washington is once again making a beeline for big screen.

The Academy Award winning actor will unleash new action film ‘Equalizer’ on September 26th. 

Washington plays Robert McCall, a retired intelligence operator who faked his own death to live under the radar. However, after finding a young woman (played by Chloe Moretz) in trouble with the Russian mob, he returns to action to use his extreme tactics for good.

Receiving a mountain of submissions of covers of the tune, Desmond’s stood out for one simple reason:  it actually sounded good.  Offering sung/rap verses, his take on the tune certainly served mini-doses of TGJ favorite Elijah Blake.

Be that as it may, Dennis made the song his own. Do your thing boy, we ain’t mad!

Beyonce may have just wrapped her ‘Mrs Carter Show World Tour’, yet King B isn’t resting on her laurels. The chart tornado is set to hit the road with hubby Jay Z for their stadium focussed ‘On The Run Tour’ – which kicks off in Miami on June 25th.

With multiple dates already sold-out across the US and fresh European shows announced yesterday, Bey aptly took to Instagram to subtly remind the masses that they’re in for a blockbuster experience.

Hard at work in rehearsals, the 32-year-old shared the snaps above and below with the gratitude-soaked caption:
