Though his fans may choose to ignore it,50 Cent‘s career just isn’t what it used to be.

No longer the hard hitting  commercially potent lyricist the world was introduced to back in 2003, recent years have seen his material struggle to compete with the likes of Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Drake on a number of different fronts.

Now, in what will sure to have the folk over at Interscope wondering just what do with him, he has hit out at the label’s executive Jimmy Iovine , who he holds responsible for the difficulties his career is currently facing.

Former Danity Kane/Dirty Money doyen Dawn Richards will soon debut the video for ‘Save Me From U’ – the first offering from her solo collection ‘GoldenHeart’.  Set for a January 5th unveiling, the dark, Ev Salomon-directed clip sees Richard flex her acting skills in a dramatic, black-and-white visual.

Harajuku hitmaker Nicki Minaj may have not gotten the initial response she expected for her latest offerings ‘Roman In Moscow’ and “Stupid Hoe”, but that hasn’t stopped the Trinidadian from pressing forward with their respective promotions.  In a bid to boost interest in the projects, and much to the delight of Barbs and Ken Barbs, Minaj is readying not one, but two videos for the songs.

With their parent album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ landing in stores in less than two months (February 14th), you may get to see the visuals on your screens sooner than you think.

After spending much of 2011 touring the States with critically acclaimed play ‘What My Husband Doesn’t Know’, Michelle Williams closes out the year with a return to music.

The soulful singer is hard at work on a new studio album (due 2012); and, so as to whet appetite’s, she’s teamed up with German DJ’s Electric Giant Beatz, featuring as a guest vocalist on their new single ‘On The Run’.

As keen appreciators of the Destiny’s Child star’s vocal prowess, we invited Williams onto our acoustic show The Splash during her recent London visit.

They became close knit on the last season of American Idol, as such it’s only fitting that the show’s cast band together in this newly released promo shot for its upcoming instalment.

Judge Jennifer Lopez, who takes centre stage in the snap, will no doubt be hoping this season of the Fox hit gives a greater boost than her last outing. For, (last series) helped comeback single ‘On The Floor’ garner smash status, while its accompanying LP ‘Love?’ smashed straight into the ground when it flopped upon release. Here’s hoping she fares better this go round. After all, she still has ‘it’ in abundance.
