Fans cannot wait to get a taste (all pun intended) of the newest episodes of HBO‘s top rated vampire series ‘True Blood’.

This weekend saw the arrival of a new trailer to add to the already lengthy list of teasers for the June 16th due premiere.  As previously reported, however, some fans have expressed disappointment as this season‘s noted differences include it being the first season without “True Blood” creator Alan Ball at the helm and unlike previous seasons that aired 12 episodes, season 6 will only have 10.

Reports have surfaced indicating that after their first season the first ladies of TLC will see their show cancelled.

Domonique Scott, Tara Lewis, Ivy Couch, Christina Murray and DeLana Rutherford, stars of TLC‘s ‘The Sisterhood’, were the leading castmates of the Atlanta-based reality show based on the lives of preacher’s wives.  Along with its less than favorable ratings, the show, much like Lifetime’s ‘The Preacher’s Daughters’, was very much the chatter of Christian groups who panned the show for its portrayal of church figure.

Some of the cast members have responded to news of the show’s cancellation.  Read their comments here.

Grammy winning crooner Usher may have built a career out of being a knockout on charts and dancefloors, but now the smooth singer will be taking his moves to the boxing ring.  Indeed, reports have surfaced indicating the ‘Trading Places’ performer will see his name placed on the bill of new film “Hands of Stone” portraying celebrated fighter Sugar Ray Leonard.

The movie, based on the life of great boxer Roberto Duran, will be directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz and also feature the likes of acting legend Robert De Niro in its cast.

Set for release in early 2014, Ush took to Billboard to share his thoughts on the announcement. His words below…

Sunday saw a crazed male fan tackle pop pinup Justin Bieber on stage while the hitmaker was performing the title track of his latest album.

Bieber, who recently landed in Dubai for the international leg of his wildly successful ‘Believe’ tour, was caught off guard when an overzealous Belieber believed he needed to get a little closer to the action – knocking Bieber and a piano over in the process.

Thankfully, security quickly responded to remove the attacker.  Watch the crazy video below:

On the hems of his newest critically acclaimed single ‘Blurred Lines’, “blue eyed” soulster Robin Thicke hit the radio circuit this week in promotion of its now revealed, same-titled parent album.

One spot graced by the crooner’s presence was Power 105’s ‘The Breakfast Club’ – there Thicke dished on his new project, time on BET’s ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’, and, of course, those pesky Justin Timberlake comparisons.  The latter of the list has plagued the ‘Magic’ maestro since Timberlake’s return to chart dominance early this year.

{Randomness: this is how a solid campaign is launched. Single roll-out, quickly followed by video. Of course, with J.Lo being Capitol Records’ new darling, she likely has a budget countless acts would wish for. Yet, still, it will forever puzzle yours truly why the music industry has yet to standardize the practice of preparing and finalizing the product first (i.e. singles, albums), mapping out how best to roll it out, and then doing just that — rolling it out (falling back on plan b’s, c’s and beyond if things don’t pan out accordingly). These mega gaps between singles, videos and promotion are far too often the Achilles Heel of one too many talented artists. And for no justifiable reason either. There’s ample irony in it being seasoned names such as the J.Lo’s and Mariah’s (whose are also trying to re-establish relevancy) that are showing how its done. Anyway, enough of my rambling…}
