Despite the Akon/Nelly assisted ‘Body On Me’ having been confirmed as the second single to be lifted from Ashanti’s ‘The Declaration’ LP, it is now being reported that the Jermaine Dupri produced ‘Good Good’ (which you can listen to above) will serve as her next official single (going for adds at radio June 16th). In the meanwhile, ‘Body On Me’ is slated to be one of two of Nelly’s follow-ups to current single ‘Party People’, the other being ‘Stepped On My J’s (ft. Ciara). {Source}
I’m really liking both tracks and, more so than that, the convergence between both Ashanti and Nelly’s projects.
Your thoughts?
It wasn’t all sweetness and light Friday for Diddy’s girl group Danity Kane. Two members of the pop group got physical backstage at the Palms before their concert at The Pearl last night. The tension was still evident when the group arrived at Privé Las Vegas (Planet Hollywood Resort) for their after-party. Dawn Richards, Aundrea Fimbres and Shannon Bex stayed on one side of the VIP Booth while Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods sat on the other posing for pictures with fans.
Hmm. Here’s hoping there’s a quick resolve to the drama, if this is true. In the meanwhile, any guesses on who the fighting pair were?
Reformed womaniser USHER fights a daily battle to stay faithful and true to his wife TAMEKA, because he’s “not good” at being in love.
The singer married the stylist last September (07) and two months later she gave birth to their first child, Usher Raymond V.
And while Usher insists marriage and commitment have changed his life for the better, he admits monogamy doesn’t come naturally to him – and he has to fight his wandering eye.The star tells Cosmopolitan magazine, “I’m good at making love, but I’m not good at being in love. It’s a conscious decision every day to love the person you’re with.”
Though I try to keep my commentary on his relationship with Tameka to a minimum, I can’t help but wonder (aloud) why he seems like he has to prove how much he loves her to everyone. Just a thought…
The video to accompany the controversial cut ‘Be A N*gger Too’ from Nas’ forthcoming untitled LP (due July 15th) premiered today. Directed by Rik Cordero, the vid most certainly gets you thinking. Whether one agrees or not with Nas’ stance, there’s no denying he’s not holding back with this project at all.
What do you think of the vid?
Keri’s LP is definitely one of the few I’m really looking out for this year. I really see her doing BIG things this year and beyond.
Are you checking for Keri Hilson?

Good day, Janet fans.
This post is intended to put some fact – from inside Janet’s camp – to the rumor mill around here. The facts do not change the current situation, but they put truth to the stories that have been floating around this forum.
Janet wanted Luv to be the second single. LA Reid wanted Rock With U to be the next single. Obviously, we’ve seen how this conflict affected the post-album release promotion, and Janet has now explained the results of this conflict. End of story. The rest is history.
Have a good day!
Wow. Not to toot my own horn (well slightly lol), but myself, along with many others, recognised the hit potential of ‘LUV’ most especially over ‘Rock With U’ right from the onset. The only way I ever envisioned ‘Rock With U’ being successful was if it was touted as an International single and pushed over here in European territories, where its chances of charting well were high(er).
Following the surprise success of ‘Sexy Can I’, Ray J is back with follow-up single ‘Gifts’. Unfortunately it seems as though the impressive reception of ‘Sexy Can I’ was a fluke, as ‘Gifts’ finds Brandy’s lil’ bro in familiar territory – uncreative, uninspired and unworthy of a second listen IMO (though I’m some will beg to differ).
What do you think of the song/video?
Though her career is in dire need of a resuscitation at present, there’s no denying she’s one hell of a performer; her rendition of ‘Get Right’ reminded me of how baffled I was at why the song wasn’t as big as it should have been -a great track, which she nails performance-wise each and every time. Random tidbit: it really seems like just yesterday that J. LO ruled the music scene. I guess it goes to show, you’re only as big as your last hit – Rihanna and co, take note.
What do you think of the performance?
