Drug addict Amy Winehouse today found herself at the center of yet another scandal – one that is threatening to leave her career in ruins.UK tabloid The News of The World was sold videos and pics from the camera of Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil’. Among the many pics of Amy, Blake and a friend in their crack den, a video, featuring the ‘Rehab’ singer performing a racist chant was included. A mess and then some…check out the vid and pics below:
After watching that, I’m pretty much through with Amy; there’s only so many times one can say ‘if only she got her act together’. Though I’m almost certain that a statement to the effect of ‘I’m not a racist’ will be released, drugged out or not, there’s no excuse for saying such things. What makes the whole incident all the more bizarre is that Amy’s own genre music is of black heritage. A complete cracked out mess. SMH…

What exactly is racist about the video?
I mean she does say blacks, p***’s & gays and all dat shizzle but, where’s the racist part I dunno? Maybe I’m to prejudice to understand myself…. lol

You can’t be black asking a question as dumb as what is racist about it…how about the whole thing? She talked about everyone not just blacks and it’s still racist and also crazy ignorant.

It may not be nice, but it’s few who can say they have never uttered a racist word in the privacy of their own home. Blake is egging them on…and there is a part of the Rolling Stone story (A diva and her demons, I think it’s called) where Blake whispers to her and Amy laughs and tells her Dad that Blake is asking if something is a ‘Kike’ thing. Then she asks what is the worse racist epithet, Kike or Yid.
Amy’s a jewish girl from North London. I’m sure she’s seen her share of racism. Give it a rest.
It’s the drug stuff that makes me sad for Amy. It’s obvious that it has taken over her life and is eating her alive. “Addicted”, the song she does about someone smoking her pot is funny. Pot addiction is, for the most part, a non-issue. This crack and heroin stuff has to go.
Oh, and while I’m on about it – I know the press loves it when they can show Amy being angry or in a fog, but you can look around the net and find so many cases of Amy’s kindness. Opening her door to the neighborhood kids, hugging an old man who’s been made to feel bad on ‘Nevermind the Buzzcocks’. Most of the tapes of that show only show her being crazy. Why? Only bad stuff about Amy gets into the press. The British tabloids are like sharks in a feeding frenzy. Look what the Paps did to Diana. Anything for a quid.

I am not perfect, and I may not have nice things to say all the time, but never in my life would I take the time to make up a song, or do anything that resembles what Amy and her friend did. That ish was not funny, it was stupid, and she need to get off that crack. Kindhearted people just don’t make up songs that include handicaps, blacks, and Homosexuals, and whatever else that mess was. For what? It obviously wasn’t meant to be positive.
Naw video don’t change my opinion of her. It’s bad, yeah, but I’m sure she’s not out to propagate hate or be hateful herself. She’s a mess anyway. How can she be accepting of others when she don’t love herself?

Amy Winehouse as a cracked out ho is more talented than all of black radio right now. Amy Winehouse as a collapsed drug fiend writes better songs than the entire cliche R&B community. and you can deal with that.

I agree that the video is ‘crazy ignorant’ and prejudice maybe. But that video is not racist! In order for the song to have been racist she would of had to expressed hatred or convey some kind of being superior over another race.
Never-the-less, the video is not funny and an immature piece of humour. That I agree should not be taken lightly…
