Nashville played host to the 2012 Grammy Nomination special where the likes of music’s biggest names gathered for the unveiling of the 2013 Grammy nominations.

While we won’t find out who will be walking away with the coveted gram-o-phones until the show airs live on CBS February 10th, click below to find out if your fave was able to nab a nomination. 

Frank Ocean, Kanye West, and Jay Z are among the males dominating this year’s nominations (with 6 each) while pop tart pals Katy Perry & Rihanna nabbed multiple mentions as well.

Jordin Sparks lit up Carson’s in North Riverside Plaza in Illinois yesterday, when she launched her brand new fragrance ‘Ambition‘.

Meeting hoards of fans as she signed bottles of the product away, the venture marks her latest bid to brand herself outside of music, following the 2009 release of her second studio album ‘Battlefield’.

Thus far, the album has sold 600,000 units worldwide and preceded her starring role in ‘Sparkle’, in which she starred in with the late Whitney Houston.

Nicki Minaj is leaving no show untouched in her promotional push for the re-release of her sophomore set, the aptly titled ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re Up’.

The femcee’s latest stop was ABC’s Good Morning America, merely moments ago, where dished on her American Idol stint, winning two American Music Awards, performing with Justin Bieber, her new fragrance, and of course ‘The Re Up’.

Mariah Carey shimmered and shone in LA last night, dressed to the nines to support husband Nick Cannon at the ‘TeenNick HALO Awards’.

Positively glowing, the icon hit the event two months before she graces screens worldwide via FOX‘s ‘American Idol’ , in which she is set to star in with fellow musician Nicki Minaj, manager Randy Jackson and Country music star Keith Urban.

Snapped alongside Nick, who hosted the star studded event, Mimi rubbed shoulders with the likes of Nicole Ritchie, Victoria Justice and ‘Should Be You’ mastermind Ne-Yo.

Establishing on a global stage is no easy feat. Just ask Rita Ora.

The chart-topping Roc Nation singer has spent much of 2012 notching up #1’s on home-soil while, at the same time, trying to capitalize on her ever-growing American buzz.

And while worldwide recognition is the dream of approximately every budding star, the logistics of making it a reality are much harder than many realize. Case, point, the numerous delay’s Ora’s US album has received.

Since the release of Christina Aguilera‘s scorching new single ‘Your Body’ last month, relative silence has greeted those eager to know the singer’s next promotional move.

Indeed, with less than three weeks until the song’s housing album ‘Lotus’ hits stores, many have been scratching their heads as to just what the “plan” is. Where are the performances? Major TV spots? New single(s)? An American Music Awards ‘Lotus’ showcase has been announced, yet this takes place after the album arrives.

Well, according to Christina, fans should fret not. For, speaking at the launch of the Samsung  Galaxy Note II in Los Angeles last night, the superstar diva -who was rocking a noticeably leaner frame- promised a “huge” promotional push for the hotly anticipated LP.

For one reason or another, Mariah Carey has always struggled to ‘play nice’ many of her contemporaries throughout her success laden career.

From Christina Aguilera to Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, many a chart belle has found themselves on the wrong end of Carey’s wit, or if reports from  ‘American Idol’s set are to believed, her condescending nature.

However, after being confronted by fellow ‘Idol’ judge Nicki Minaj for being just as condescending with her, ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer Aubrey O’Day has come out in Carey’s defense.

As reported here,  powerhouse vocalist Jennifer Hudson is hitting the small screen as an addition to the second season of NBC’s hit show ‘Smash’.  Joining fellow ‘American Idol’ alum Katherine McPhee and ‘Will and Grace’ gem Debra Messing, Hudson will be one of many stars guesting the musical mayhem on the show’s second go-round.
