Before Azealia Banks weighed in on her supposed use and abuse of Black culture on ‘Hot 97’, ‘Crooked Smile’ rapper J. Cole made his way to Power 105.1 to explain his recent criticism of Australian superstar Iggy Azalea, whom he compared to Elvis Presley here.
There, he revealed that the remarks he made about the rapper wasn’t criticism at all, billing them an “observation.”

The link between her success as a Caucasian female MC and efforts made by corporations to sell African-American culture to audiences more likely to respond to her than an actual African-America…even if said African-American is more talented.
