Currently sitting at #1 on Spotify, Itunes, and Billboard charts, it’s undoubted that Drake‘s latest release – ‘God’s Plan’ – is already 2018’s ‘hit of the year’ (a title cemented today with the release of its video seen here).

Hoping to ride the wave of the cut’s popularity, rapstress Azealia Banks surfs into a freestyle to lend a “must hear” remix.

As reported here, Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar was picked to helm the official motion picture soundtrack to Marvel’s highly anticipated new film, ‘Black Panther’ (in theaters February 16).

Preceded by the iTunes chart-topping cut, ‘Pray for Me’ featuring The Weeknd (click here to listen to that), the K.Dot soundtrack sees him call on a list of other well known names in the Urban arena including his fellow TDE comrades such as SZA, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and more.  As if they aren’t enough to send fans into a frenzy, listeners can also expect guest appearances from the likes of Travis Scott, Khalid, 2 Chainz, Anderson.Paak, and many more.

Iggy Azalea is here to make it official;  ‘Digital Distortion’s out, ‘Surviving the Summer’ is in.

And, if the iTunes charts are anything to judge by, the album’s first single – ‘Savior’ (featuring Quavo) – is just what the doctor ordered for the rapstress.  After a well received Monster Products commercial (which aired during this year’s Super Bowl) helped raise awareness of the tune, Iggy’s already hit the promo trail in its support.

Most recently dropping by iHeart Radio, the rapstress dished on the personal subject matter of ‘Savior’ and its parent album, specifically highlighting its inspirations coming from personal and professional lowlights of the past few years (see:  label drama, tax drama, failed engagement to basketballer Nick Young, etc.).  Now, with renewed focus and energy, Azalea says she is rearing and ready for the masses to be introduced to her long-awaited sophomore project.

Katy Perry has always been quite outspoken on a range of topics – and it turns out that extends to the state of her career.

Well documented is the dismal dip that derailed her once-unstoppable train of success.  And, in doing away with the “pretend it never happened” approach most Pop stars opt for, Perry has revealed that she’s more than aware of her predicament following the commercial tanking of her ‘Witness’ album.

Here’s what she had to say when speaking on her current status in an interview with Glamour magazine:

As far as talent goes, Justin Timberlake remains one of the greatest artists to grace Pop’s courts within the last twenty years.

Unfortunately, it appears that he is struggling to compete with his younger rivals Bruno Mars and Drake who have wiped the floor with him on the British singles chart.

Though reportedly hard at work on her 6th studio album, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Joanne,’ pop singer Lady Gaga is still delivering reworked gems from the chart-topping set.

As we reported here, Mother Monster took to Instagram this week to tease a new music video (later discovered to be a piano version of the album’s title track).

Now available in full, tuck inside to see the music video and hear the stripped down rendition of the song that’s already winning over the critics:

The week the world learned former fellow Fifth Harmony gal pal, Camila Cabello, topped both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 with her hit ‘Havana’ and its parent album respectively, Ally Brooke took to Twitter to announce fans would finally be able to hear her first solo single.

Titled ‘Perfect,’ the cut – a collaboration with German DJ Topic – hit digital shelves today (January 26), is now available on major streaming outlets, and is being billed by Billboard as her ‘official debut.’  And, while longtime followers of Brooke know this isn’t the first time she’s stepped outside of the group (see:  feature on Lost King & ASAP Ferg‘s 2016 release ‘Look at Us Now’), ‘Perfect’ is her first endeavor as the leading act.

If they’re anything like us, Justin Timberlake fans are simultaneously excited and confused by the rollout of his new album, ‘Man of the Woods’ (February 2), and its singles.

Kicked off by the funky cut ‘Filthy’ (and a kickass futuristic video to accompany it), the song could barely make an entrance on the Hot 100 before the Grammy winner was unveiling its follow-up, ‘Supplies.’  Now that ‘Supplies’ has had a few days to grace iTunes and Spotify charts respectively, Timberlake and team are already announcing its successor, ‘Say Something’ (as we reported here).

And, while the second of the trio of tunes has yet to make its Hot 100 debut, its predecessor started the race at a lofty #9 placement on the chart last week thanks in great part to sales.  Much like ‘Supplies,’  however, ‘Filthy’s figures on the streaming front have proven lacking on a number of outlets – a feat that speaks directly to the Timbaland & Danja-produced cut’s 20-spot drop on refreshed charts this week.

Is this a signal of things to come?  Time will tell.  Until then, check-in below to see who joins him this week in the top 30:

Albeit not exactly the fanfare he’s used to with his single and album releases, ‘Filthy’ and ‘Supplies’ – the kickoff cuts from Justin Timberlake‘s forthcoming album, ‘Man of the Woods’ (February 2) – have been mainstays in the top 10 of iTunes sales charts since their official releases.  The former made a #9 debut on the Hot 100 last week while the latter has yet to make a mark on the tally.

To help ‘Supplies’ be greeted to an equal or better placement on the chart, Timberlake is welcoming fans to take a behind the scenes look at its creation and recording (alongside producer extraordinaires The Neptunes).
