I’m with you R.J. I respect Janet for talents, but she doesn’t do it for me, she really never has. I never get to hear her LIVE REALLY….she always has those head mics which are a dead give away that she sings as about as much as Britney spears does and of course we all know what that means. Then again she’s never been this vocal powerhouse and I was being nice when I said that. So we will prob the only people on this blog who don’t care for her………..(Yeah I said it)
Rihanna is the epitome of mediocrity!
Just about any other performer would’ve killed those songs. She’s just walking around lethargicly and her vocals weren’t even on point. I dig her songs, but I wouldn’t pay a cent to see her live.

BEP’s- Another Great performance, they did the damn thing
Rihanna- *SMH* wtf was that? she did not even do Russian Roulette , all she did was swing her hair and walk around, mediocre performance.
Lady Gaga- The Piano Burning was Crazy, lady gaga brung it but her VMA performance was Better IMO.
J.lo- Not Live , she tripped, but great performance, good song too.
Whitney Houston- Oprah’s Performance was better IMO but hey is Whitney and she did Great, Almost Made Me Tear.
Also, I Knew Michael was Getting those awards.

Sorry with all this star power the show is average at best. For me Janet did her thing but it lacked energy. Whitney looked great her performance was very inspiration but vocally she did better on Oprah. Mary smashed it. Jay-Z & A Keys same thing differnt show. Alicia Keys I guess we must find a new style since the solo buzz is dying down. Eminem & 50 cent boring. J Lopez wack song and corny performance Rihanna I advise to thank CB because the only reason people care is because of the incident modeling is your friend. Carrie Underwood hot. Everything else was not worth the time.
Well I really loved JLO’s performance. I really didn’t notice that fall when it was live. She’s really still got it.

omg ms jackson better work – loved the dancing and how she made it lok so efortless – its really funny to me how the veterans stole the show – the newbies didnt stand a chance with the exception of lady gaga who always seem to bring a fresh energy to the stage – janet murdered it whitney killed it ( i honestly didnt think she was but she won me over at the end of the song – it was great! the show as a whole was boring wit the exception of those 3 i mentioned – mary did ok too – didnt know the song so i really couldnt get hype – jlo ws ok too – the mtv awards was the best award show this yr as a whole – this one was really boring – after the performances i wantd to see i was over it – FYI JANET WAS LIVE SO HATERS FALL ON A SHARP ROCK!!!!!

JLO KILLED IT… She did slip… But she was in 6in heels… You try to walk in em… Other than that, she murdered that performance. And Louboutins is really growing on me… And to those who dont sing (but have a million thoughts about it) she was live, the song is super low…. GaGA Killed it as well, she knows how to give a stage show.. U gotta love her for it…. However I do wanna see somthing different from her tho… Its almost as if I want to see her look normal and s*** for once… like she did in beyonce’s video…. ALicia Was gr8 as always, Kelly clarkson saang her ASSS off… Whitney was ok, though Im not a fan of her eratic style of singing. but it works for her.. Janet was not live but who is ever 100% live these days.. even whitney has a backing track of some sort… Over all I think the show was great. However people will always be people…no matter how much you vent or hate an artist… Know that at the end of the day, someone likes them, it may not be you , but someone does… and with that, Rihanna needs a new stage show… S

Jennifer lopez- don’t like the song, that fall, my oh my and weak vocals- she recovered nicely though so i can’t hate for that
Whitney- loved it, very emotional, loved the belts and she still can command a stage- loved her speech and the audience loved her-look at what God can do
mary- decent vocals but sort of understated for you
jay and alicia- did good, gave the show some caffeine cause the audience was dead up until them
BEP- ok Will.I.Am,u are not Elvis and Fergie did a bit too much screaming for me. Loved the boom boom pow not MEHW and Will u were not humble
kelly clarkson- very good vocals but girl i need u to move
rihanna- *sign my ears girl, did not care for the vocals but the openning was nice
Gaga- hated the first part with the stupid dancing and bones, loved the vocals in speechless
Carrie Underwood- don’t really care for the song, good vocals but a bit of screaming
eminem and fiddy- turned away, lots of bleeping
daughtry- tuned them out , boring, same for keith urban

Janet was the best performance…She proved that at 43 she gives these young girls a run for their money! If anyone disagrees, go watch it a 2nd time and you’ll see that she was really gettin it, especially during Make Me and when she was slingin her head around during If.
I thought Whitney and Black Eyed Pees (although I don’t really like them) had great performances too.
J.LO started off strong, but when she fell, she let it slip away from her.
From the posted performances: I thought Kelly Clarkston’s performance was solid (good vocals, made me remember why I liked her on American Idol). Not crazy about J.Lo’s song so it was hard to truly enjoy the performance like others. Whitney’s performance was touching. Janet was beautiful, but didn’t have as much energy like I’d expected but I enjoyed the end song “Together Again”. Rihanna’s outfit was nice. Lady Gaga’s performance was crazy creative. Alicia Keys singing didn’t grab my attention. Couldn’t really get into Shakira’s performance for some reason. Didn’t want to watch 50 Cent and Mary sounded strong, but a wee bit off.
OMG I love Janet, Shakira, Whitney, Carrie, Kelly, Gaga, and Alicia.
Janet- I have been a fan of hers for so long so anything she does I love, she did great lastnight and proved she still has it. I love her new song.
Shakira- That girl is always good, she is an entertainer and she and her dancers were hot.
Whitney- OMG she made me want to cry, she did GREAT!! What else are we to expect from her? Nothing but the best.
Carrie- She is my favorite country singer beside Taylor Swift, she sound just like her album and she looked so pretty lastnight.
Kelly- She sound so good but her voice is always beautiful.
Lady Gaga- Made me a fan lastnight, I thought she was another Rihanna but she really proved to me that she can sing her ass off.
Alicia/Jay- I am not really a fan of Jay Z they did alright, I do love Alicia Keys parts of the song. Her song she did by herself was good also.
Rihanna- That chick need to save us all and never sing live again, what the hell was her deal? All she did was walk around stage and swing her hair. Her label, manager, and voice coach need to have a major sit down talk about lastnight. That voice alone should get her dropped from her label.
Rihanna needs to work on her stage presece, that was way too upsetting. She could of killed it, but her voice is so weak.
Best Performance of the night was GaGa hands down. The choreography, staging and costumes she brought it. Vocals were solid 2.
After her had to b J.Lo.. Great song to return on and cool performance. Still got it.
But best vocals of the night.. I’m sorry, Kelly Clarkson destroyed it. It was so emotive and passionate and her vocals were so on point.
Honorable mention to Janet, Carrie Underwood, Shakira and Adam Lambert. Good job

I was nearly late for work watching Janet’s performance, but I just couldn’t miss it! She definitely killed it up there! There were some parts she was lipsynching, some parts that were live, put that’s Janet for you! Take it or leave it. And I couldn’t be more thrilled that she did If, including the breakdown! 😀
I’ll get to Shakira, J. Lo, 50 and Em, Whitney and Adam when I have the time. The rest are whatever, and I certainly won’t dare corrupt myself by watching Lady Gag’s and R******’s SATAN WORSHIPPING asses perform. Yuck!
Shakira-Dancing was great but you couldn’t really hear her Vocals not great.

I dont get people that are so critical on “Come Back” Artist! Let’s see all of you do what they do! Imagine not performing for 10 or 15 years, Suffer the death of your brother, Then get back on stage knowing everyone is criticizing you for your similarities to the Brother You lost, Putting on one of the best shows in your career, inspiring people all over the world to keep the faith and never give up, Then some schmucks on the internet who probly have done nothing more than get Honor Roll in High School, have the nerve to say you could have done better! Not too mention Whitney-Having you marraige in the public eye from day one, Back and forth with drama and abuse and rehab, Vocal surgery that almost ruined her career, And still holding the record for best performer of all time! And Mary J.- Her life was a mess almost from the beginning, and she pulled herself thru found a way to bring herself back into the light and has dominated most female R&B performers since her come back began! The soul and passion she puts into her songs added to the power in her voice can send chills down my spine! I don’t understand how women like them could’ve done any better! I wish I had the strength and courage that they have to make their careers and dreams come to life! You all need to find something to do with your time, other than knockin down people you wish U could be! All their performances were Awesome! And no matter what critics say…They are the Queens of the Music Industry! You Go Girls!
J-Lo’s Performance was great! So she fell, Who cares? She didn’t stop Jammin! I didn’t get to watch the award show myself, and if I wouldn’t have been told about her falling, I woulda thought it was part of the show! She made it flow right to her next step! She carried it with grace and pride! Kudos J-Lo! You’re awesome!
