Chris Brown & T.I Continue To Promote ‘Takers’

Chris Brown and T.I are hard at work trying to ensure that their new movie, ‘Takers’, is a hit. This time the music heavyweights sat down with our friends over at The YBF, along with their co-stars Idris Elba and Michael Ealy, to talk about their roles in the film. Check out the interview below:

I still don’t want to see this movie. This was actually supposed to come out last year, because this was filmed back in 08,’ but they had to postpone it due to two of the actor’s “situations.” Besides, T.I. can’t act to save his life, and Chris isn’t too convincing either. Movies like these do nothing but promote rapper’s egos anyway. But more power to the production overall though.

This was a really short clip. It looks like it was on the same day they did the interview with MTV. I’ve seen a dozen lil interviews like thi, all on the same day but with different interviewers.

I had no idea Chrs used to hunt, I know he is a country boy but damn! I don’t know how I feel about that. *shrugs*

Anyway, I can’t wait to see this movie tonite! My so called friends went to the premiere here in Richmond on Tuesday without me (b*tches) and they said that it was really good!. My gurl Monet is one of those real hard to please type chicks, she usually never likes anything we go to see she always find something to complain about! So if she said it was ‘really’ good than I am really looking forward to it! I never fgive a damn what the critics say!

Plus I am sure that it will open No. 1 ! There is pretty much is NO competition and it is the all people have been talking about for a while now. The cast, espcially TI, Chris and Idris have really been out promoting it well so it is sure to pull in numbers opening weekend! I’m so happy and excited for Chris!

I saw that mess CNN was talking. And they are trynna say if the movie fails it will be because of Chris. Thats not fair to say. So now Chris holds the weight of all those men? But watch the movie top the box offices and they not give Chris any credit but its his fans all up in the movie theater with the Chris Brown shirts and stuff. Most people are gonna go see it for Chris and T.I. so CNN is just trynna start shit for real.

I’m gonna go see it tomorrow *sigh* I wanted to go see it today but I can’t…..but Imma be up in that bitch come saturday night! And nobody better say what happened! Don’t say shit about the movie before Saturday night!

When T.I. was on 106 last monday and went through the list of people in the movie ain’t nobody start screaming their ass off until he got to CB’s name so CNN and whoever else can shut that shit up. And monday wasn’t even Chris’ day to promote Takers. So fuck CNN. ANd Fuck E! for giving Takers a “C” rating but giving the fucking fish movie a “B” LOL! Thats wack. Oh well I’m still gonna go see it. E! is always hating on black people….everything that they say that deals with Chris I don’t take seriously(Example: CB at Takers junket…they couldnt even be professional). TAKERS! I’m so mad I gotta wait til Saturday night! I know some asshole is gonna start blabbing about what happened before than…..

Sorry to repost, but….

EVERY BLACK person should go support this movie b/c it has BLACK, MALE PRODUCERS & EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS (Morris Chestnut, TI, Chris, Gabriel Casseus, Jason Geter) and JUST FOR THAT REASON, a LOT of people would like to see it fail…you know…the racists and the “coons”.

Whether you dislike one of the actors or not, SUPPORT these black men going against the odds and taking their success into their own hands! If you have a dad, brother, uncle, male cousin,son, stepson…you have to go! This movie succeeding may just help open doors for one of them, one day. Think deeper!

I saw it today and it was one of the BEST movies I’ve seen thus far this year. Everyone did a good job in perfecting their role in the film so I wouldn’t mind seeing this again at the theater next week sometime. Critics will come out and devalue the film, not because it didn’t appeal to them, but because of their own ignorance. The reality of the life obstacles that a person faces is irrelevant to the character he or she portrayed in a fictional film; but, fans do not allow someone else stupidity get you worked up. Smile. Be kind. Eventually, it won’t be long until they experience the joy you felt when you saw ‘Takers.’

Also, Madea (Tyler Perry) and ‘The Tom Joyner Morning Show’ support ‘Takers’ too (link below). Earlier this week someone from the morning show stated how good the film was, and they were not lying. Its worth seeing.

2. The Takers (Screen Gems/Sony) NEW [2,206 Theaters]
Friday $7.2M, Estimated Weekend $20.3M

3. The Expendables (Lionsgate) Week 3 [3,398 Theaters]
Friday $2.5M (-51%), Estimated Weekend $8.2M, Estimated Cume $81M

4. Eat Pray Love (Sony) Week 3 [3,108 Theaters]

You might want to see Takers a few more times this weekend to make it number 1. Some other sites are saying it’ll only make $14-15 mil. I thought it was entertaining and fun to watch myself. I think they want it it to make at least $25 mil to consider it a big success.
