Diva Christina Aguilera is looking to bounce back from her much publisised troubles with a judging stint on NBC’s new talent search ‘The Voice’. The Carson Daly hosted show begins airing on April 26th and also sees Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton as judges.

Well this show is actually something different and new, so yeah I will be watching. I like the judges.
This starts in April and X Factor starts sometime in September or October so there wont be competition.
I don’t think Christina has the moral authority to judge a singing competition considering her sense of pitch is a mess and her true range (not too low for it to become a whisper or too high for it to be a strained choked holler) is less than an octave, more like 5 notes.

Alot of us in the industry are excited about the concept. All the singing talent shows have turned into popularity contests or oh u look good and had fun Bs. Its about singing like the dance shows are about dancing. To have ur back turned to the contestant and just listen is a great idea even if the public doesn’t get it

YES!!!! This looks awsome, even if LEGENDtina wasn’t a judge i’d still have been watching this, its’s about time we had a singing competition that actually concentrates on the SINGING instead of appearance and sob stories.
I can see this being a hit, it will appeal to those that watch AI and XFactor and people that hate the way tallent is overlooked in favour of looks etc on those shows.
It’s also great that all the judges are singers that can actually sing, i love Cee Lo, Adam is hot and i like Maroon 5 and of course XTina is my GIRL and she’s lookin good, i really don’t get why people call her fat she’s just curvy, when “Bionic” dropped she was underweight.

The x factor is basically 1st audition round, 2nd boot camp round and also judges are told what category they will each have to mentor, 3rd round is judges houses where 24 acts are split into 4 groups categories being under 25, groups, girls, and boys. Then 24 knocked into 12. But i think the voice will be better.
As someone accurately pointed out, most judges in singing competitions can’t sing a lick themselves. Christina can outsing all of the ones I know of, yet she lacks the “moral authority” to judge? Either you apply that logic to all of them or it doesn’t stand at all.
I’m not a J.Lo fan, she can’t sing in my opinion, but I’d a major hypocrite if I said she shouldn’t be a judge on AI on account of lacking vocal ability. Neither can any of the other judges in the show’s history, except for Steven Tyler.

I’ve always understood what Bey’s role was in the studio as a Composer 1ST & a Lyricist 2ND & what shes capable of as a Composer & a Lyricist from hearing all her contributions to her songs dating all the way back to Survivor.

The premise behind the entire show is shoddy at best. Susan “Gremlin” Boyle was/is a big freaking sensation despite not looking Hollywood…so in summary there is nothing ground-breaking about this…it’s just a show where we get to see some washed up (celeb) judges trying to make a quick buck (due to the fact that they did not make much from their last albums which TANKED).
I’ll watch it bb. It’s new & refreshing & all the Coaches are HOT! Psssshhhh* (yeah even Cee-lo)
