Miami dance machine Jason Derulo treats fans to another offering from his ‘Future History’ album (due September 27). Said to be an official ‘promotional single’, the Rick Ross-assisted ‘Make It Up As We Go’ seems aptly titled as it appears the singer did just that over many parts of the track.
Expectedly never venturing too far into the unknown, ‘Make It Up’ drives Derulo’s signature pop sound over a very familiar uptempo avenue. You decide; Is he headed for a ‘hit’ or is Derulo destined to miss? Yield your verdict after the jump:

This is a solid urban pop cut.Amazing beat!He didn’t do it justice at all, though. With a more capable singer, without the attrocious lyrics and with a real rapper delivering a great 16-bar verse, this song would be the business!!

the more i listen to it, the more i’m like…. “man, did he really succeed in doing a song that actually sounds like some timberlake stuff (beat/writting style) ?!?!?!”
more power to him, but rick ross doesn’t help on that record (surprinsingly “ok” verse…)
