i lOVE both ladies , something about those 2 get me. of course Shakira got the upper hand when it comes to “talent”, she write her own songs , a great dancer , a Dope Performer , a real philanthropist , etc …
it is really hard for someone like me to even dislike shakira , let alone hating her.
J.Lo also is great in her own right , even if she was REALLY less talented than Shakira. Shakira talents are Wild and that will make all of her peers appear less talented. so …
also JLO opened the gate for those latin girls ” yes , including shaki” , 2001-2002 was all about “latin artists” like them and ricky martin because there was a certain diva started the whole latin thing on , even artists like “christina” tried to catch up ……. so J.LO did something good for them all. so now you know it.
and stop with the whole “talentless’ shit , the only thing she can’t do is to be a vocalist ” especially up to your very high standards” and the girl never tried to pass it like she’s a great vocalist and no one is here for her vocals, J.LO knows her potentials and capitalizing on them since 2002. she’s a good performer , a fashion icon , a Good actress , a good hit-picker “lol” , and she really having the ability to deliever a good album every time ” minus Love?” which sound like a greatest hits album , not like her previous albums which were really good.
see ?!! all of those are pretty much talents. so miss me with the “talentless” BS. but still shaki got her ass and we all know it.
. the moment shaki came to the scene and showed up brit went ” i’m slave 4 u” and made it her new image , me and all of shakira fans were like ” really bitch ?!”
, but i have never been so crazy about her Tbh.
also i still think shakira was one of the many reasons to make britney look “MEH” to some …. , even britney felt the heat of shaki

Don´t care much for Shakira but the girl has been having hit after hit (both albums and singles) for like 15 years in a big part of the world. She has been definitely the biggest latin musical act of the last 15 years

I’m a big Shakira fan ever since she had red hair and sang in spanish! I didn’t expect this song to grab my attention anyway and that’s not Shakira’s fault. None of Pitbull’s songs impress me (aside from ‘I Know You Want Me’ which is a guilty pleasure
). I don’t care about Shakira’s features, I only care about her next album. I want her to pull off the only thing keeping her from worldwide pop princess status : combining her roots and her musical taste with commercial viability in ALL the key markets, not just North America and Europe (we LOVE her here, though). She needs the US and the UK too.

Shakira already did that. She had the best selling album in the world in 2002. I remember cos one of my favs Celine Dion had the 2nd best selling that year in the world (A new day has come). One proof of how huge Shakira has been in the last decade is that JLo´s best seller was only the 10th or 11th best selling album in the world in 2001. That´s the highest she´s reached

I like Shaki but her last great album was Fijacion Oral/Oral Fixation vol. 2, “Sale El Sol” was mediocre, i see she is taken the same road of J.Lo in the last 3 years of her career, J.Lo albums were great, her only generic album is Love? and the same with Shaki she doing this for a US successful single or something but i want my all Shaki back, i don’t care about success as long as i enjoy her Music, the same for J.Lo, she needs to go back to “Rebirth” era, that were good times, my Latin girls i love you and all but please, stay true to yourself.

and “sal el sol” is good too. “fijacion oral” is exceptional in every possible way , the only thing i hated about it is it it came after the smash that was ” laundry services”. it was like what “BTW” s to “the fame” if we gonna talk gaga.:lol:
