R. Kelly To Premiere New ‘Trapped In The Closet’ Series On Black Friday / Watch Teaser

rkelly trapped in the closet R. Kelly To Premiere New Trapped In The Closet Series On Black Friday / Watch Teaser

After titillating the masses with 2005′s ‘Trapped In The Closet’, R. Kelly is rebooting the franchise for another drama-filled run this November.

Details and new trailer after the jump…

As previously reported, the Pied Piper confirmed that the re-booted song-series will return under the wing of the Independent Film Channel.

Now, in a new interview with TIME, the R&B crooner elaborates on the return of ‘Trapped’ adding that 20 new clips have been shot and that roll-out will begin on November 23rd (Black Friday). What’s more, Kelly confirms that characters such as Rufus, Cathy, and the Nosy Neighbor are all back for the latest collection of soap-styled drama, which has been sub-christened ‘Oh Sh*t’.

Peep a trailer below…

Clearly, the next round of ‘Trapped’ will be as much of a bonkers must-watch as the initial clips. Needless to say, roll on November!

For those itching for more traditional R.Kelly output, the singer promises new album ‘Black Panties’ will sonically pay homage to his 1993 classic ‘12 Play’. He tells TIME:

“I decided to go back and do an old-school R. Kelly album like 12 Play. That’s pretty much what it’s going to be, focusing on more of the bedroom ballads. I like to give people variety and I just gave them two years of romance albums and soul.”

Again, we can’t wait!

If this gets the promotion it deserves,it could probably be the life-saver RnB needs at this moment

Be real. How is a musical soap opera from an old man going to save RnB. This ish is old and played out.

RnB will not come back unless people start buying music. Nothing more and nothing less.

    Dear R. Kelly,

Please go back to Church, rededicate your life to Christ and do something with some meaning and purpose. Since the untimely and tragic deaths of your friends (and bigger superstars) Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston hasn’t convinced you to live for God while you still can then what will? Writing a Gospel song doesn’t mean God is in your life. Where’s the fruit on the tree?

    I wanna see the receipts!

Checks under the bed, then under the dresser, he looks at the closet, I pull out my berretta, he walks up to the closet, he’s close up to the closet, now he’s at the closet, now he’s opening the closet (closet, closet, closet)…I remember!
