As Sony Music gears up make 2014 the year of Beyonce, the ‘Carmen: A Hip Hop Opera’ star helped make their job a whole lot easier days ago, when she stormed Auckland, New Zealand with her ‘Mrs.Carter Show‘ World Tour.
Fortunately for fans at the show, the singer/actress delivered a fresh take on her smash hit single ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?’ during the performance, flaunting the live vocals that have seen her standing in the industry surpass that of acts who no doubt wish their voices sounded half as good as hers does now…and did during her debut in the late 90s.

Well like I said, Beyonce is a great singer but for the sake of sound quality and the occasional, needing to rest vocal chords, all singers sing to pre recorded tracks on certain songs. Mariah, Celine, Beyonce and anyone else that has the honor of touring or performing in venues. It is just how the business works.
That takes nothing from Bey but the topic of “always live” becomes just a nonsense topic, because ALL singers do it. As you all should know, the vocal chords are muscles and muscles can get over worked if a person keeps using them. Imagine if bey or any human would go on tour, sing everyday for 2 hours… it would be a disaster at some point. So lip syncing is smart and NOTHING NEW TO THE INDUSTRY. Its facts.

In my opinion, that “Dangerously In Love” Grammy performance was one of the best performances Beyonce has had in her 16 year career. Vocally and image wise that performance was flawless, I really felt it when she was singing (very sensual and passionate). Then again DIL is still the best album, but thats just my opinion.

At one of the most influential performances of her career, in which was the Inauguration she did NOT sing “live”. For some of you that didn’t get the concept of that moment. When you sing with a track and the track is louder than you singing it’s basically karaoking a performance, but with a top vocal without background. Of course Bey is consistent in her performances, but let’s be real she is going to rest them vocals especially for the songs that require it like Halo,DNL, Flaws and All, Listen, and occasionally her Whitney Houston tribute. She has been lip syncing since her DC days but to me her greatest performance is and will always be Super Bowl 2013 now that was very live regardless how out of breath and tired she may have been, that’s the best and that truly made her one of the best performers of all time. The real question that will check all of you is does she sing live all the time…. The answer would be NO. If she sings live the whole show will she get hoarse? YES! Lip syncing is only for vocal rest. Thank God she isn’t lip sync master Spears lmfao
