Brandy is putting in that work!

The Vocal Bible has been hitting the studio to lay down vocals for the next chapter in her discography and has enlisted an all-star cast to assist.

Having logged in time with the likes of Diane Warren and Oak, B-Rocka stepped into the lab with Hit-Boy this week following an earlier session this year.

Aptly named, the producer is renown for crafting smashes such as ‘Clique’‘N***as In Paris’ and Beyonce’s ‘Flawless’.

Needless to say we can’t wait to hear what he – along with Stacey Barthe and Preston Harris (also pictured above) – have cooked up for Ms. Norwood.

  1. No favs, just here for the music March 7, 2015

Love Her. My God, she is one of those celebs who doesn’t age a day. Beautiful. Can’t wait to hear her new music.

^^ I’m the exact opposite. I didn’t like how they pushed B into recording Put it Down when she had so many flawless ballads on Two Eleven, just like I didn’t care for the direction of Afrodisiac trying to push her into a fake s*** thing, that she herself said she didn’t believe in. I’m sure Brandy having a Flawless sounds good on paper, but this b**** can sing. I need those flawless vocal runs on a ballad like Tomorrow, Full Moon, Wish Your Love Away, He Is, and Have You Ever. Either way though, I’m here for the VB. NP: He Is

She definitely needs ballads, and her uptempos need to be fresh and innovative or that jazzy organic hip hop mid tempo style

I Agree, I don’t mean that’s all I want to hear but I want something fresh , Two Eleven is A Great Album a lot missed single opportunities , 1st single (Put It Down) was nice comeback but not strong enough to keep it going then Wildest Dreams as second single was awful because it was sappy kind of like what they did with Tinashe (they started at the club and then took it took the jazz cafe). I feel like either the first single should be a ballad or the last single to end the album. When Brandy gets it right she comes hard. I would like for her to do some more Choreography and work with Timbaland , I don’t want a Brandy “Flawless”. By the way is she still with RCA?

Girl u just got PURE SHADE
Luther child you just made my day. I don’t know any CBOLA fan can tall this b**** only seeing tin foil certificate. She ain’t been relevant since 06. She’s just was another singer full of herself leaving her label and end up on the bubbling chart #IFLOP.
Brandy has a legacy what does C-t***** have? Just her balls in a jar at home next to her last plat disc #2006

How is Brandy a vocal bible ? This site is so extra she has s deep rich soulful voice and I love her runs …. That said she was never held in the high reguard of a Whitney House or even a Toni Braxton …. Brandy was good at her pop R&b stuff but she was never one to sing girls under the table

    • Mark111 March 7, 2015

Because she was one of the few that did her own background vocals. Although Whitney’s influence was there, Brandy had her own voice. I think all three, Brandy, Aaliyha and Monica all brought something and changed the game (mainly Aaliyah tho), while the greats (Whitney, Toni and Mariah) were playing it safe.

      • Al March 8, 2015

Music ain’t what it used to be like 90s rnb Whitney,Mariah, Toni, Monica, Brandy think there is only her and Monica left of the rnb greats of our time. I think there is only Fantasia, Jasmine Sullivan I like of the new age

She epitomizes the saying “you don’t look like what you’ve been through”. I’m glad she’s in the studio. Hope she blesses us with music soon.

I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait! I want a bit of everything on this album. Give me the fire of Full Moon (What About Us, Full Moon, Anybody, Wow), Some s*** Two Eleven things going on (Slower, What You Need, Do You Know…), some classic NSN B-rocka (Angel in Disguise, U Don’t Know Me (Like You Used To), Learn the Hard Way, Almost Doesn’t Count), those catchy hooks from “Brandy” (I Wanna Be Down, Baby, Best Friend), the experimentation of Afrodisiac (Focus, Necessary), a touch of “Human” (1st &Love, A Capella (Something’s Missing) and I’m all set!

    • Brian310 March 8, 2015

catchy is the what she needs to return to, I understand she took a innovative risk with Full Moon and how monumental it is but I can’t help but feel her continuing to use that style for her all her cds afterwards has turned off those that want a simple and catchy chorus and verses.

  10. BeyRihLiyah March 8, 2015

she needs to make a 2015 never say never she needs to go back to her catchy pop&B (pop and blues)

    • Give up the Ghost March 8, 2015

No way! She is not 18 anymore and she’s too musically gifted to be making that fluffy music (no shade, that was a classic album) but her last 4 albums were amazing both musically and vocally. None of her albums have the same sound, which I love.

  11. Lake Erie March 8, 2015

    #Stars!!!!! YES!!!! B-ROCKA!

  12. Give up the Ghost March 8, 2015

Say what you want about brandy, but you can never say her music isn’t always on point! All of her albums have a different sound, but she maintains her artistic integrity and “Brandy-isms”. Idc if she sells 100 or 100,000 copies…I’m just ready for some new B Rocka!

  13. FutureCIARA March 8, 2015

    Here for it!
