Mariah Carey seems poised to end the year just where she began it: at the top of the charts.
Since streaming started impacting chart placements, the popularity of holiday-themed music has been more accurately represented on the Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 due to its heavy consumption over the last two months of the year.
Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)No artist has reaped the benefit of that update more than Carey, who has seen her enduring yuletide classic – ‘All I Want for Christmas’ – bound into the single chart’s upper half every year since the Billboard change.

Christmas is the only time this tragic mulatto is relevant.
Her voice checked out well over 20 years ago. Hang it up long back broad💀
STFU. Mariah is timeless…when your favs like Camilla are long forgotten people will still be listening to this MC classic in 2057 along with Bing Crosby, Sinatra and Nat King Cole. Each generation moves on to current artists but each Christmas there is always nostalgia and Mariah will be played forever. Aside from maybe Wham Last Christmas and Darlene Loves Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) no other Christmas songs post 1960 have done that.
That person commenting is not me
Sure it isn’t troll
Stfu your just mad cause u said body was ending at number 1 s*** ain’t even in top 10 what happened 😂😂😂
Her voiced checked out 20 years ago yet the biggest hit song of her career came in 2005? Hmm….
and you have never checked in a day of your life except for the H***** clinic, such a hateful p*** bucket.
Ariana replaced this wacko quadroon. We stan a true vocal queen.
You’re not implying that Ariana is a better vocalist than Mariah are you? Because that would be absolutely silly. Maybe now since MC has gotten old. But 90s Mariah would sing circles around that girl.
That was 30 years ago. Scram ugly!
But don’t you think it’s a bit silly to compare the vocals of a 27 year old to that of a 50 year old? That doesn’t seem like a fair fight to me. Why don’t we compare Mariah’s voice at 27 (which would be 1997/98) and compare it to Ariana’s voice now?
Ain’t that the truth. Ariana has never in her life outperformed a Mariah vocal. She doesn’t even have a song that’s widely regarded as an exceptionally challenging song to perform.
Unfortunately… Mariah will never have another #1 song after AIWFC
Continue to break records tho
Prepare to eat crow b****
when she was a skinny b****.. Don’t change the cover next Xmas darll Whitney was never that like husky
The most annoying Xmas song ever! 💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿 It’s getting old💁🏿♀️💁🏿♀️💁🏿♀️ This song is like a zombie who came back to life every year 🧟♀️
I have loved the song since 1994 (and I never grow tired of it). With this year lacking in good & plenty; I really need it in 2020 🎄 🎅 🤶 🍪 🔔 💂♂️❤💚.
Great! I love Mariah! Merry Christmas!
Alright now we need another Christmas hit from someone else
Plenty of artists have Christmas songs and albums coming out. Nothing is as timeless is AIWFCIY
💓
Camilo n shawndra wanna be on this list sooo bad 😅😭
So how’s the 1 with Jhud and Ariana doing on the charts? Thought that 1 would be number 1.
