Save for collaborations with Elton John and will.i.am, Spears has been musically mute in the two years that have passed since she gained freedom from the controversial conservatorship that governed her personal and professional life for over 13 years.
That looks set to change imminently.
Because, according to an alleged insider, the performer – who hasn’t released an album since 2016’s ‘Glory’ – is readying fresh material.
A source told Page Six:
“She has an upcoming writers camp and is getting songs from some big artists.”
Continuing, they added:
“Ideally, she would love to do a record and maybe a song for the book release.”
As reported, Spears is also set to release her memoir, ‘The Woman In Me,’ this October 24.
