Is it difficult to decipher what she’s singing? Of course, it’s GaGa. However, the production (albeit busy) sounds lush and sonically ties in with the other material we’ve heard thus far (see: ‘G.U.Y’ and the like).
Preceded by singles ‘Applause’ and ‘Do What You Want’ With Ma Bodehh, ‘ARTPOP’ hits stores November 11th.
It’s ok. Very forgettable tho. But its not as bad as Venus or Applause.

The newest song is a pummeling, intricately layered electronic production that immediately brings Born This Way to mind — specifically those thicker slabs of EDM like “Heavy Metal Lover” and “Bloody Mary.” It’s sleek and s*** — if not sort of unintelligible from the overpowering wall of sound — but something nice and complex for the ear. Gaga herself is moaning and groaning and cooing her way through in a synthy ode to that not-so-legal medicinal herb.
The stand-out moment? “I know that mom and dad think I’m a mess / But it’s alright, because I am rich as p*** / When I ignite a flame and put you in mouth, the grass lights up my insides and my brunette starts to sprout,” she bellows. I’m not sure anyone really wants to picture your brunette spouting, Aphrodite Seashell Bikini Lady Gagaloo — but we’re sure glad you’re wearing those garden panties.

This is what happens when mediocre NY musicians take the stage. They need shock value in order to make up for how terrible they are musically.
Gaga is too self-conscious and serious to be fun, and there are too many half baked ideas thrown together for it to make sense. Her songs now are just random hooks Madonna-ed together with some glossy production, marketing and given titles that the song themselves don’t live up to.
Her new music OMG isn’t art. It is an epic moronic hot mess and commercialism trying desperately to make her song so addictive, and it lacks all the warmth, emotion, depth and accessibility to a 18 -yo jobless teenager and Monster to watch her Vevo/ YouTube.
Applause is the 1st single and just imagine the rest of the songs in Artpoop. Dismiss this record’s company puppet, America and the rest of the world.
Wow I love it! This one is very rock. Artpop looks like top 10 best albums of 2013 for damn sure. Not to mention she she can sing circles around you know which basic singers/models.
