Kelly Rowland may be collating material for her fifth studio album, however the R&B diva isn’t bowing out of the spotlight to do so.
This weekend saw the 33-year-old rock the 9th annual Jazz In The Gardens festival in Miami, Florida.
Rowland completed an impressive line-up that included the likes of LL Cool J, Ne-Yo, and Jamie Foxx.

That said, there was a notable difference in the energy levels brought to the performances that followed. A point which re-affirms a stance we’ve long had on Kelly – she really “serves” and “werks” best when slick and choreographed. Traits all her performances should have.
As long-time believers in her talent and potential, it’s clear Rowland “delivers-delivers” when feeding off great crowds. Yet, as evidenced by the lukewarm audience here, it’s ultimately her job to get them going. It’s not always a given that they will be hot from the jump.
Hence, it’s imperative moving forward, that Kelly plays her strongest card (being a great all-round performer) each and every time. Consistent and constant choreography, fierce struts, wind machines, sass and even pre-records (where need be) could and should be fixtures of her show. For, she has embedded within her ability that countless of her contemporaries could only dream of. She’s simply tasked with erecting a setup that will see that ability pushed to the forefront each and every time she performs. Each and every time.

LMAO, she’s so basic it’s painful to watch. One would think for someone who was in Destiny’s Child and was seated in front of 7 million viewers a week; she would at least book an ampitheatre, instead she’s performing at Jazz festivals.

Really did u see Michelle on DC fulfilled Atlanta’s tour, she slayed,her vocal control is soo good. Kelly Rowland Has a very smooth tone which I love and she can dance while singing not near B’s level I know but name any other artist other than gaga who can do that ! . Iguess u r black either dark or light so I just have a question why whites support Katy Perry and artists like her who can’t sing live while black people bring down any other artists except thier fav?
Kelly sounded amazing, I just wish Sam posted more footage of it lol. But I would love to see her go on a tour and do even bigger things, because Kelly so can do it, and I’ll be supporting her every step of the way.

She SLAYED Black Girls Rock!! However Sam you have to realize that those are staged performances more than likely funded by the Event. Jazz in the Gardens is a full blown concert – funded by Kelly..also considering she is allegedly without a label..I guess she had to make due..Nonetheless I was there and Kelly ROCKED!!! ALLL great reviews from that Miami Event!
