With the flames from Azealia Banks‘ controversial Hot 97 interview still raging, one of the main topics of the candid chat – Iggy Azalea – has clapped back.
As reported, Banks slammed the Australian bred rapper and accused her of being a racist and a prime propagator of cultural appropriation.
Ever outspoken on Twitter, Iggy took to her page this AM to sound off.

Seems like everyone is mad at Iggy for making comments about race. When I read the comments i seen nothing racist about them. I grew in a suburb and my dad is white mom is black. So me having all white friends growing up currently 25 and still having mostly white friends now I’m going to say this. I have seen and heard real racist lingo and what Iggy said wasn’t racist. Maybe a lot stereotypical but not racist. There are plenty of times my friends and I talk about eachothers cultures and use it as jokes but its not racist. From experience I know white people get comfortable with a black person and they tell racey jokes and i do it right back so its kind of funny. TV does it all the time. Being as tho Iggy has dated nothing but blacks and most of her association is with blacks right now from what we know of her my guess is she isn’t racist. But like I said knowing black people who aren’t familiar with or has been involved with many outside of race almost all of what me and my bestfreids would be called racist. Not me because when blacks say racist things its overlooked. But if they heard the jokes they probably wouldnt know how to deal.
