Secrecy has encased the recording of Lady Gaga‘s comeback album. A refreshing change of practice from the hyper-hyped approach that defined previous efforts.
And while details the follow-up to 2013’s ‘ARTPOP’ are scarce, it was confirmed that Mother Monster has been in the studio with the likes of RedOne and Mark Ronson.
The latter, whose smash ‘Uptown Funk’ dominated the charts last year, has opened up about his sessions with the superstar singer.
Speaking the UK’s Evening Standard, Ronson said:
“We worked together in London.
I think she’s incredibly talented and kind of a muso at heart beyond all the giant pop hits. I would love to work some more with her — she’s an incredible singer/songwriter.”

I’m interested to see. Both are extremely hungry. Plus, Gaga has the industry behind her. Remember Billboard’s article this summer of the opinion of the record labels? They voted that Adele, Taylor, and Gaga were their favorite artists. Therefore, Gaga will inevitably receive much more of a push especially after Rih along with the rest of Jay-Z bandits formed Tidal.
She’ll have the media/industry supporting her but fans/general public have made it clear that they aren’t. Singles flopped, album flopped, tour under performed, tv show flopped. Even with all this promo, coverage, and hype she has managed to flop left, right, and center. If anything it will be interesting to see if Rihanna can bounce back from this mess of an era. If her next single is a hit, will it be enough? Will a Grammy premier do it? I more interested in seeing her battle Katy on charts.
