Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have a new reason to smile thanks to the overwhelmingly positive critical and commercial response to their surprise duet ‘Die with a Smile.’
More inside.
Delivered to digital shelves on Friday (August 16) at midnight, the D’Mile and watt-produced tune hadn’t even been available for 24 hours before it was printed atop the real-time Worldwide iTunes sales chart.
Beyond jetting to the top of the United States’ sales tally, the #1 placement on the international front comes from similar success in 33 other countries including Australia, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and Sweden (to name a few).
Elsewhere, ‘Die’ danced to the top 10 of over 20 other major global markets like Japan, South Africa, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Spain.
The handsome out-of-the-box success – once paired with radio airplay as well as sales data and streaming figures and from all the major digital platforms – could see Gaga and Mars’ open in the top 10 of Billboard charts around the world including in their native country (USA) by the end of the song’s inaugural sales tracking week.
Keep it locked to That Grape Juice to find out the Pop duo’s premiere placement on the American Hot 100 when the updated chart is revealed on Monday (August 26).
