Preceded by lead single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ the track saw the superstar make history when it dually hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard’s Country tally – making Queen Bey the first Black woman to reach #1 on the coveted count.
Embraced in earnest by the BeyHive, ‘Cowboy Carter’ shook off shuns from the traditional Country music scene and received critical acclaim for its genre-blending artistry.
Commercially, the LP delivered in earnest. Opening at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 407,000 units sold first-week. It has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Further lighting a match under the project, Beyonce blazed the NFL Christmas Day Game with a Halftime Show built around the bops on the album.

I’ve never seen such shameless and pathetic campaigning from the last Grammys where her troll of a husband yelled at everyone cuz they wouldn’t vote to give her that one award to having your husband try to make another superbowl performance just to keep reminding ppl of that stupid album….. I’ve never seen someone campaign like a spoiled child that didn’t get their away for a Grammy. This is what happens when your entire career daddy then husband have bought all your awards for you.
