The insults between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj just kept coming all Monday night (September 29).
As reported here, the two Rap divas locked horns after Cardi launched a series of scathing tweets aimed at Minaj for subliminally alleging sales of her sophomore album ‘Am I the Drama‘ were inflated.
Reigniting their 7-year-old beef, the virtual fisticuffs came just hours after the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced the LP had gone double Platinum after just 10 days.
Cardi (born Belcalis Almanzar) not only referred to Nicki (born Onika Maraj) as “cocaine Barbie,” but even took aim at the legal woes the Young Money maven’s husband and brother have faced over the years – inciting a series of clap backs from Maraj.
Almanzar didn’t stop there, however.
Much like her ‘Put It On Da Floor Again‘ and ‘Errtime‘ collaborator Latto did during her highly publicized squabble with Maraj years ago, Cardi took aim at Nicki’s age.
“Why you keep bringing up my album?? It’s not the gag that you think it is..You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor swift, Drake…those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them,” Almanzar posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) late Monday night. “I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for?”
For context, Cardi is due to celebrate her 33rd birthday on October 11 while Nicki will celebrate her 43rd in December.
At writing, Minaj has not directly responded to the old-age quip. But, if we know anything about the Harajuku Barbie she won’t be taking Cardi’s disses lying down.

Super Bass was decent. Starships so cringe. I feel sorry for Nicki, she has barely anyone behind her anymore, at least no one who is current AND popular. Her outbursts are bad in general for her brand. It’s a dangerous path, Azealia is familiar with. In an ideal world, Azealia kept her mouth shut and reached icon status. The way she raps is ferocious

I actually prefer Nicki’s stuff. She definitely has a rap style and she worked so hard to get where she is. I remember all of those features that she did when she was coming up and she nailed them.
