This Friday (Oct 2) brings with it the long-awaited release of ‘The Album’ by BLACKPINK.

The K-Pop ensemble have been enjoying resonance on a global scale of late – thanks to singles such as ‘How You Like That?’ and ‘Ice Cream,’ as well as their guest stint on Lady Gaga’s ‘Sour Candy.’

Now, the quad look set to amplify that the more with the hotly anticipated LP.

Moments ago, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa revealed the tracklist and it features the likes of Cardi B (on the song ‘Bet You Wanna’) and Selena Gomez.

LisaRaye McCoy celebrated her birthday today and while (for most) it’d be a day of rest, the actress turned in quite the performance.

The drama began when her half-sister DaBrat called into Fox Soul‘s Cocktails With Queens to help her celebrate her day.

While attempting to articulate her birthday wish, the rapper was interrupted by LisaRaye who seized the moment to confront her.

The issue?

According to ‘The Players Club’ star, she found out about Da Brat’s sexuality via blogs and social media – when she came out as being in a relationship with Jesseca Dupart.

So intense was the segment that at one point LisaRaye told her intervening co-hosts “I don’t give a f*ck what y’all saying. At all.”

The promo trail very rarely gets rest from the dancing feet of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – better known as BTS.

The global superstars, easily the most popular band on the planet at writing, are set to scribble the next chapter in their sensational story as they’ve announced their new album, ‘BE,’ is due in stores in November (as we reported here).

To celebrate the announcement the septet have signed on to do a weeklong residency at ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,’ which kicked off Monday (September 28).

After thrilling ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ viewers with a week of live performances of tunes found aboard her September 18-released new album ‘ALICIA’ (as we’ve reported here), singer-songwriter Alicia Keys brought the residency to a close with a stirring rendition of ‘Underdog.’

The song – her highest charting single since 2012 (as we reported here) – has been regarded as an anthem for frontline healthcare workers amid the global health crisis so it was fitting for her to round out her time at the late nite talk series with a show of support for the modern day heroes (September 25).

What initially appeared to be a graceful end to Nene Leakes‘ tenure on the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ has quickly descended into chaos.

As reported, the reality star has essentially confirmed that her services were no longer required by Bravo and she’s been hitting out ever since.

Leakes’ latest vent took aim at the network, Andy Cohen, and even Wendy Williams. She also shockingly likened the broader situation to that of Breonna Taylor.

And while her messy exit has divided opinion, one person seemingly not siding with Leakes is fellow ‘Housewives’ original Shereé Whitfield.

To the surprise of her fans, affectionately referred to as “Hotties,” she’s already pinpointed a release date for the effort.

Alicia Keys pressed pause on the original March 2020 release date of her self-titled seventh studio album, ‘ALICIA’ (and its accompanying world tour), due to the global health crisis.

After seeing its first rescheduled date quietly come and go (June 2020), Keys surprised fans with the sudden announcement the LP would hit digital shelves September 18.

Like its predecessor, 2016’s ‘Here,’ ‘ALICIA’ may have gone to chart battle with no top 40 singles to support it however the set did boast two Gold certifications courtesy of the Miguel-assisted ‘Show Me Love’ (#90 peak) and ‘Underdog’ (#69 peak) respectively.

Shifting much of the focus of the project’s promotional campaign to social issues like the global health crisis, #BlackLivesMatter, and more (see: ‘Perfect Way to Die,’ ‘Love Looks Better,’ ‘Good Job,’ ‘Underdog,’ and more), Keys pounded the promo pavement with stops including a weeklong residency at ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ (as we reported here) as well as a number of other high profile television, Web, and print appearances.

The game of musical chairs continues between revolving chart-toppers BTS and Cardi B.

Nearly a month ago (as we reported here), the Korean septet unseated Cardi’s Megan Thee Stallion-assisted hit, ‘WAP,’ from the top of charts – a short-lived reign that ended just two weeks later when the GRAMMY winner reclaimed the throne.

Though holding tight to the top spot for the two weeks that followed, this week saw ‘WAP’ sink to #2 thanks to an aggressive promo campaign launched by the ‘Dynamite’ singers.

Delivering explosive showings on the likes of ‘America’s Got Talent,’ NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert,’ and more, BTS filled in the blanks with a number of discounts and alternate versions of their hit – a move that collectively added up to just enough steam to push Cardi and co. from the Hot 100’s summit.
