After Lifetime watched their made-for-TV movie ‘Single Black Female‘ march to historic ratings in 2022 (coming as the year’s #1 original non-holiday movie), the women’s network is undoubtedly hoping to repeat the feat with its sequel: ‘Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge.’

Seeing stars Raven Goodwin, Amber Riley, and K. Michelle reprise their roles, the new film takes place three years later and shows Monica (Goodwin) ready to start life anew in Seattle. Unbeknownst to her, Simone (Riley) is cooking up a murderous plot of revenge.

Having already whipped up impressive TV ratings via her previous holiday-themed efforts (see: ‘A Very Vintage Christmas,’ ‘My Christmas Inn,’ ‘Miracle in Motor City,’ and others), Tia Mowry is literally putting her cooking skills to the test in the forthcoming film ‘Yes, Chef! Christmas.’

Also starring Buddy Valastro, Rebecca Amzallag, Scott Gibson, Raven Dauda, and Rothaford Gray, the festive flick follows a culinary instructor (Mowry) who finally musters the courage to enter an annual cooking competition. Later learning of a family secret that could derail her personal and professional aspirations, the chef must find a way to circumvent the impact of the newly revealed news while following her heart in more ways than one.

After scoring ratings wins for Lifetime aboard the made-for-TV films ‘Every Day is Christmas,’ ‘Faith Under Fire,’ and the biographical ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ย R&B icon Toni Braxton returns to the network as star and executive producer of ‘Fallen Angels Murder Club.’

Based on the ‘Hollis Morgan Mystery’ย franchise by R. Franklin James,ย ‘Fallen’ is a multi-movie series that has April premiere dates attached to its first two installments – ‘Friends to Die For’ and ‘Heroes and Felons.’

Ahead of the former’s premiere on Saturday (April 2), Lifetime has lifted the lid on an extended sneak peek at the flick.

After scoring killer ratings with ‘Envy’ and ‘Lust,’ the first two installments of Lifetimeโ€™s T.D. Jakes-produced films from the โ€˜Seven Deadly Sinsโ€™ franchise, the womenโ€™s network is looking to repeat the feat by unveiling first looks at the moviesโ€™ follow-ups: ย โ€˜Wrathโ€™ and โ€˜Greed.โ€™

Based on the book series authored by Victoria Christopher Murray, ‘Wrath’ follows a single lawyer (portrayed by Williams) trying to navigate a chaotic love affair with another lawyer (portrayed by Antonio Cupo) who is so jealous and wrathful that his obsession with her leads to violence and threats.ย  Tina Knowles-Lawson plays Williams’ mother in the film.

Janet Jackson is still riding high from reports her eponymous Lifetime documentary, a two-night TV event that aired Friday (January 28) and Saturday (January 29), racked up a historic 15 million viewers (as we reported here).

Instead of resting on her laurels, the Pop icon is continuing on the promo trail in its support.

Most recently spotted on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ Jackson beamed about the success of the event – even admitting she was afraid viewers would find it ‘boring.’

As social media reviews rolled in to suggest quite the contrary, the diva may soon be giving the Net something else to talk about:ย  new music.
