This Sunday brings with it the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, which itself brings with it the debut of Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj‘s vivacious video for ‘Bang Bang’.

The trio’s collaboration has blazed its way into the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and is being tipped for greater success once its visual is unwrapped after their joint performance on VMA night.

Mark those calendars!

Because on September 15th VH1 are set to open a fresh can of ratchet reality with the debut of ‘Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood’.

The latest instalment of the hit franchise appears to serve up the same brand of drama and theatrics that have made its New York and Atlanta cousins such compelling viewing. What’s more, it’s doing so with a cast that are markedly more known. For the likes of  Ray J, Teairra Mari, and B2K‘s Lil Fizz and Omarion all feature. With the state of race relations being a hot topic in the US (see: Mike Brown), the arrival of rapper T.I.‘s new song ‘New National Anthem’ is particularly timely.

The haunting track, which features Skylar Grey, spotlights the Hip-Hop star’s take on social injustice in America.

ATL bred T.I.P opens the song by stressing that he doesn’t think radio will play it, but he delivers a compelling cut that is certainly worth a listen.

This Sunday sees Beyonce take the stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards – not only to perform, but to also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The network have been hyping up what is bound to be another epic showing from King B. As such, as we anticipate her sure-fire show-stopper, That Grape Juice are counting down our Top 5 Beyonce Performances.

Next Tuesday marks the spot for Ariana Grande‘s sophomore album ‘My Everything’, twirling towards retailers with a little help from Viacom‘s MTV.

Hopping aboard her promotional bus, the network have teamed up with the singer to tease four of the LP’s jams before its release! These, being ‘Be My Baby’, ‘A Little Bit of Your Heart‘, ‘Why Try’  and her duet with The Weeknd, ‘Love Me Harder.’
