The latest season of the X-Factor UK kicked off in spectacular form tonight. Unsurprisingly, with this being the audition phase, the talented and talent-challenged came out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the next stage. Judging the hopefuls are new additions Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger,  Louis Walsh, and returning judge Sharon Osbourne.

With good reason, there’s no doubt Elijah Blake is fast becoming the envy of many an R&B upstart.

One of the only newbies to see his streaming figures match his growing hype, the last two years have seen his brand of Premium R&B force him to the front of his genre’s class- and thanks to cuts penned for Usher, Ciara and Rihanna– become the ‘go to guy’ for any Urban act in need of a hit.

So, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that he has hinted at a fresh collaboration with the ‘We Found Love’ singer, teasing it while on the BMI R&B & Hip Hop Awards last week.

R&B’s smoothest crooner Luke James is afforded fresh support this weekend, sent his way by the vocal wonders that make up ‘R.Notes’.

Indeed, in showing their support of the ‘Strawberry Vapours’ siren, the trio took to Manhattan’s Greenwich Village to perform their very own cover of his sleeper hit, ‘I Want You‘, alongside fellow vocalist A.Don.Iz.

Only four days separate the world from John Legend‘s brand new album, ‘Love in the Future‘!

Exciting on a number of fronts, the album’s arrival will see it go head to head with Tamar Braxton‘s ‘Love & War’ which is due for release on the same day.

So, as to give his ‘Love’ a fresh competitive advantage, he booked a lengthy slot on ‘Letterman’ to perform a number of songs from the album.

Days after allegedly breaking up a fight between ‘Born Sinner‘ J.Cole and seasoned ‘Bad Boy’ Diddy, Pop’s reigning R&B Queen touched down in Brooklyn to shoot scenes for a brand new music video.

We’re talking about Beyonce of course, putting the final touches on her brand new campaign in the company of Terry Richardson, and a few hundred fans who swarmed Coney Island to watch the performer at work.
