Days later, using the songs provided, TGJ launched ‘The Greatest Song of the Decade’ poll, featuring appearances from Michael Jackson‘s ‘You Rock My World’, Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way’ and Beyonce‘s ‘Single Ladies‘.

The cast of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ have much cause to celebrate today, now the ratings for the second half of their reunion special have hit the net!

Hitting VH1 at 8pm on Monday night, part two of their reunion brought in an audience of 4,126,000 million viewers- making it the highest rated cable program of the night.

Quite interestingly, this episode marks the second highest viewed episode of the entire season, outperforming its launch episode which secured 2.94 million viewers on April 22nd.

While failing to match or better its first half ( 4.19 million), the special’s ratings saw it best efforts made by FOX’s ‘Family Guy (2,870,000 million)’ and WWE Entertainment.

Coming in at #3, the Vince McMahon led wrestling series drew in 4,317 million with an Adult Rating  (18-49) of 1.6%!

November 27th marks the spot for ‘Black Nativity’, the new Christmas movie starring Mary J. Blige, Angela Basset, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson and ‘Strawberry Vapours’ purveyor, Luke James.

Joined by ‘Sweet Lady’ singer Tyrese, the movie serves as a remake of Langston Hughes‘ Off-Broadway classic of the same name, directed by Kasi Lemmons (Eve’s Bayou) and boasting an appearance from the legend that is Nas.

If you thought Keyshia Cole‘s ‘Woman To Woman’ era was nearing its close, you thought wrong.

Despite the album nearing it’s 1st year anniversary, Cole is still readying new singles to be lifted from the album – namely the slow jam ‘I Choose You’ (which she confirmed in early July would indeed succeed October 2012’s ‘Trust and Believe’ to act as ‘Woman’s third single).

Following yesterday with the announcement of its accompanying visual…

…fans were thrilled to learn that the new video won’t be the only place they can expect to see the ‘Heaven Sent’ hitmaker in coming weeks.  For, not even two months after wrapping up her worldwide ‘Woman To Woman’ trek, Cole will reportedly headline another tour as revealed by ‘Rebellious Soul’ songstress K. Michelle today via an interview with Hot 97.

The cast of our weekly fix ‘Devious Maids’ have cause to celebrate. For, Lifetime have picked up the dramedy for a second season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will return with 13 additional episodes in 2014.

The series, which was created by Desperate Housewives mastermind Marc Cherry, serves as Lifetime’s fastest-growing drama (ever) and has propelled the cable network to become the No. 1 network on Sundays at 10 p.m. among women. Imperative to  note: the show’s audience is 18% Hispanic, which nearly doubles Lifetime’s primetime average.

‘Maids’ centers on a group of maids Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Edy Ganem, Ana Ortiz and Judy Reyes) who are united by their jobs, struggles and employers’ “upstairs-downstairs” universe. Susan Lucci, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Mariana Klaveno, Grant Show, Matt Cedeno, Melinda Page Hamilton, Drew Van Acker, Brianna Brown and Brett Cullen co-star.

“One of the most daring series on television, ‘Devious Maids’ has quickly become a hit,” Lifetime executive Vice President and General Manager Rob Sharenow said of the show, which is executive produced by Housewives star Eva Longoria.

It’s the diva showdown of the year!

Pop titans Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are set to clash on next week’s chart with their latest offerings ‘Applause’ and ‘Roar’ respectively.  Both songs, lifted (sooner than expected) in the last two days due to leak, have found themselves polarizing pop fans;  Katycats roared for their ‘killer queen’ while little monsters greeted their leader’s latest with standing O.

But, now that both tunes are making their rounds on Youtube, Itunes, and the like, once objective music fans have even joined the virtual battle to duke out for their pick of the two.

Luke James is gearing up for his first major movie gig in this November’s ‘Black Nativity’, so what better way to flex his acting muscles than his own new music video for ‘Oh God (ft. Hit Boy)’.

The cinematic clip, which arrives a week after the crooner wrapped his critically acclaimed run as opening act on Beyonce‘s ‘Mrs Carter Show’, sees the pursuit of love take a turn for the dramatic.

As September draws nearer, so too does the release of Janelle Monae‘s eagerly awaited new album ‘The Electric Lady’.

Preceded by singles ‘Dance Apocalyptic’ and the Eyrkah Badu assisted ‘Q.U.E.E.N’, the set’s freshly unwrapped tracklist confirms features from the likes of Solange and icon Prince.

Needless to say, the 27-year-old has found favour among some of music’s most respected names. Judging by the material we’ve heard thus far, she looks poised to add to her ever-growing fan base with this particular project.

Kendall J. Powell‘s ‘Cheerios’ calls on Rapper Nelly to serve as its new brand ambassador this year, marking his latest move to boost his visibility before the release of his brand new album!

Enlisting the star to front their ‘Must Be The Honey’ Honey Nut Cheerios campaign, the General Mills owned brand has kicked off a mass media initiative that will see Nelly rock digital ads, billboards and a social media driven effort to push the cereal…and his own new LP, ‘M.O‘.

Today, one of the first fruits of the deal’s labour was plucked with the release of a short ad directed by Hype Williams, featuring the ‘Get Like Me’ MC and the swagged out ‘Homebee’.
