Their talents levels may drastically differ, but there’s no denying both Beyonce and Rihanna are at the forefront of what it means to be Pop royalty.

It’s little wonder, then, that for all the comparisons there are also calls for a collaboration.

Interestingly, the pair have almost flawlessly managed to avoid mentioning the other. However, when a direct question comes a’calling, sometimes there’s no means of dodging.

Such was the case for Rih today.

The Bajan sensation, whose serially delayed new album ‘ANTI’ has been the subject of much debate, was asked by a LAX airport photographer whether folk can expect a collaboration with her admitted idol.

The follow-up to 2012’s ‘Lotus’ has been several years in the making, yet we’re hearing 2016 may very well be “the” year of its arrival.

To whet fans appetites, Xtina shared a shot of herself in the studio putting pen to paper in the recording booth.

With the likes of Da Internz and Linda Perry on-board, we hope the diva is baking them bops that will place her atop of the Pop back. Or at least in the upper echelon.
