‘Count Contessa’ crafter Azealia Banks is following in the footsteps many an African-American by using her DNA to trace her ancestry beyond the shores of the United States.

After making headlines for slamming institutional racism and the “cultural smudging” of black culture in entertainment the rapper teamed up with ‘Ancestry’ to discover which parts of Africa her ancestors lived in before they were captured and forced into cattle slavery.

Forget Fridays, it appears all the action takes place Thursday nights on ABC.

Smash hit series ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ is back for an action-packed second season.

The legal drama, which stars Emmy winner Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor. Last season the group become involved in a twisted murder plot and this plays out the aftermath – which boasts even more roller-coasters.

It all makes for a riveting watch. We’re already hooked!

After much ado, Adele has unleashed haunting new single ‘Hello.’

The track is the first taste the masses will have of the Brit diva’s third album ’25’ (which arrives on November 20th via Columbia/XL). She’s described the body of work as a “make-up” record.

As the focus of a major marketing campaign, ‘Hello’ was first previewed in snippet form as a surprise on The X Factor UK last week. That ignited worldwide excitement on social media, which has intensified following the single and LP’s formal announcement.

Now, with the song finally here, buzz is expected to erupt – especially given that its accompanying video (starring Tristan Wilds) has been unveiled too

‘High By the Beach’ beauty Lana Del Rey is still riding the wave of a social and professional high.

In addition to watching her latest singles ‘Music To Watch Boys To‘ and ‘Beach’ make notable splashes on the Billboard Hot 100, the trap-pop diva also saw their parent album – ‘Honeymoon’ – sail right to the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 (with very little promotional push to support them).
