Gospel force Tasha Cobbs is living up to her billing!

The vocal powerhouse, whose achievements include a Grammy and multiple Stellar honors, unleashed her newest album ‘One Place Live’ via Motown this week and is already making a beeline for the top of the Gospel tally.

Ushered by smash ‘Jesus Saves,’ the LP was recorded at Redemption Church in Greenville, South Carolina in front of 3,000 worshippers. The set, which features appearances from the likes of Kierra Sheard and Tasha’s mother Pastor Bertha Cobb, also boasts production from fellow Gospel superstar Vashawn Mitchell – who helmed much of the songbird’s debut effort ‘Grace.’

We’ve long loved us some Tasha and her rousing brand of “feel” music, a sound which never fails to touch us.

‘One Place Live’ is no different; we’ve had the album on replay here at TGJ HQ – a trend we envisage continuing.

Weeks of teasing finally came to a head for fans of Nick Jonas as they were finally able to get their eyes and ears on his latest single ‘Levels.’

A funky, 70s inspired groove, the song acts as the first cut from his forthcoming sophomore project (due late 2015).  Word has it the tune is also due to get the live treatment at next week’s MTV VMA’s.

Six days separates the world from The Weeknd‘s brand new album ‘Beauty Behind the Madness.’

Excited? You should be. For, the release marks his first album since 2013’s ‘Kiss Land’ and arrives after his faultless rise to the Pop heavens thanks to his ties with the ’50 Shades of Grey’ film adaptation and blossoming relationship with the model Bella Hadid.
