Oprah Winfrey is not playing.

For, in a bid to ensure the rising ratings of OWN stay on that path, the former talk show host has tapped Lady GaGa.

The paw purveyor and her mother, Cynthia Germonatta, sat down with Winfrey recently, discussing everything from the singer’s astronomical rise, to the effect of her superstar status on her family.

A sure to be intriguing watch, the interview (which airs this Sunday on ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’) follows O’s emotional sit-down with the family of the late, great Whitney Houston. A chat which, for all the critique it drew before airing (from the likes of yours truly), ended up being both tasteful and strangely uplifting.

Upon its debut, Melody Thornton‘s new single ‘Lipstick&Guilt’ was hailed by many for its moddy mature, artistic, and pleasantly left-field characteristics.

And as she continues her quest to pull away from her Pussycat Doll past, it appears these are traits the singer is keen to deposit in the visual arena; case, point, ‘Lipstick’s’ accompanying video.

Having premiered literally moments ago, That Grape Juice has you covered. Check it out below…

Soulful crooner John Legend turns up the heat in the steamy video for new single ‘Tonight (Best You Ever Had)’.

Serving as a release from the ‘Think Like A Man’ soundtrack, Legend has made no secret of fact that the Ludacris assisted cut would also dub as the first single from his forthcoming album – should it perform well.

Its TAJ directed visual should go some way in aiding that cause, especially as it sees the usually coy crooner flash some flesh. Something we’re sure his legion of fans will not be complaining about.

Indeed, the age old adage of timing healing all wounds has rung true for Aubrey O’Day and Dawn Richard.

For after not speaking since the Pop outfit’s dramatic demise, the pair have this week reunited.

Eddie Murphy‘s comeback.

It’s something we’ve hoped and waited for. Yet, recent years have seen the star’s career sink into quite the coma.

Indeed, a string of commercial catastrophes such as ‘Norbit’ have rendered the former comedian a punchline himself; a status sadly strengthened by his latest flop ‘A Thousand Words’.

The comedy, which actually shot back in 2008 (where it perhaps should have stayed), could only manage a measly $1.92 million at 1,890 Stateside theatres on its opening day. A figure which will likely spell an even grimmer first weekend total.

Starring Kerry Washington, the film also made Rotten Tomatoes history by becoming one of only four movies to score “0” since the outlet began telling it like it is back in 1999.  {Source}

If there’s one common theme in Murphy’s box office bombs, it’s that his roles of late are largely of the childish, comedy by the numbers persuasion. Surely a return to the raciness that defined his hey-day is what the career Dr ordered?
