Tinashe may have only just dropped much delayed sophomore album ‘Joyride,’ but she’s already has the set in rearview.

Case in point, the release today of new song ‘Like I Used To.’

Said to be lifted from an entirely fresh project (yes, already), the breezy R&B jam finds the newly-single chanteuse reflecting on a love gone wrong. Apt timing given her very public (and increasingly messy) split from NBA star Ben Simmons.

One thing we can say for sure is that Kanye West is a man of his word.

As he promised, five albums were due from his hands (via his own work or acting as lead producer) and now, following Pusha T‘s ‘Daytona,’ his own ‘Ye,’ and ‘Kids See Ghosts’ (his joint album with Kid Cudi), West is seeing the fourth of the five projects roll out –  ‘Nasir’ by Nas.

After holding his private listening session in his hometown of New York City on Thursday night (b), the set – kept highly guarded and top secret until its official unveiling – follows the same formula of West’s most recently preceding productions by housing only 7 songs.

The follow up to Nas’ own 2012 chart-topper, ‘Life is Good,’ ‘Nasir’ may have seen its production handled exclusively by Kanye but it features a host of Hip Hop heavyweights as guests including the likes of Puff Daddy, 070 Shake, Tony Williams, and The Dream.

Tinashe‘s supposed quest for Kardashian-level status has been blamed for the demise of her short-lived romance with the athlete Ben Simmons.

According to who? Ben himself.

Now, the singer’s brother has stepped up to defend his sibling and blast Simmons for having the effrontery to diss his sister when, according to him, HE is the one who is trying to keep up with the Kardashians.

DJ Mustard may be best known for cranking out some of Urban music’s biggest bangers over the last 5 years, but the 27-year-old hitmaker is showing off his diversity with the EDM-flavored, ‘Anywhere,’ featuring vocals from Pop sensation Nick Jonas.

Reportedly featured on Jonas’ yet-released fourth album, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Last Year Was Complicated,’ ‘Anywhere’ is said to draw inspiration from the Drake‘s and The Weeknd‘s of the music world (per the singer himself).

Ahead of joining forces to perform the tune live at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards (June 18), look inside to see what Nick & Mustard cooked up:

For a moment in time, Kelis and Nas were considered couple goals and music royalty.

However, their acrimonious split – which has played out oh so publicly – has made clear that there was much more than met the eye with the union.

And while much of the discourse surrounding their divorce has centered on child support for their son Knight, Kelis has shockingly revealed that her rapper ex physically abused her.

Ouch!  ‘Me So Bad’ takes on new meaning after one glance at the first week sales of Tinashe‘s long-awaited sophomore album, ‘Joyride.’

The set – originally announced in early 2015 following the critical acclaim of her debut album ‘Aquarius’ – was preceded by a slew of Pop-flavored buzz tracks and singles before being completely revamped to the Urban reincarnation that hit shelves April 13th.  Lifted on the backs of the Offset-assisted ‘No Drama,’ ‘Me So Bad’ (featuring French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign), and the Future-enlisted ‘Faded Love,’ the nonperformance of the cuts on the Hot 100 seemed to be a precursor to the commercial failure of their parent set.

Against all odds and with the support of her patient fan base, T went to chart battle last week with ‘Joyride’ and was initially expected to shift 5-7k by the tracking week’s end (as we reported here).  Unfortunately, refreshed reports indicate she did not even meet industry analysts’ lowest expectations. Click inside to see just how many units ‘Joyride’ shifted from shelves:
