Having parted ways in 1997, it’s s shame we never got to see what could have become of the talented trio.

Since being revealed as the the winners of ‘The Pussycat Dolls Present Girlicious’ back in April, Girlicious have seldom been seen promoting their single ‘Like Me’ or self-titled LP, save for a few TV appearances here and there.
Things, however, seem to be picking up with their project, as their album will now be released on August 12th in Canada (originally due this month). You may be thinking, why Canada? Well, the girls have experienced the most success there to date, with ‘Like Me’ peaking at #4 on Canada’s official single chart and buzz single ‘Stupid Sh*t’ at #20. A US/International release is tentatively listed as simply ‘2008’.
As a fan much of Perry’s work, I’ll most definitely be checking for this one. It looks like it’ll be a winner. ‘The Family That Preys’ hits theatres across the US on September 12th.
Will you be going to see ‘The Family That Preys’?
R&B songstress Tamia will be recording her first ever live album, it has been confirmed. Some of you may remember her alluding to toying with the idea, in our interview with her back in May. The recording will take place during her an exclusive show in Washington, DC on August 10th.Review in a bit…
In the meanwhile…

When an artist is out of the limelight for a certain amount of time, it’s often easy to forget how talented they are. Watching this back, really reminded me that Christina is one of the premier vocalists of the new generation. Bring on the next album….

As Teairra Marí continues to prep her as yet untitled Interscope debut (due late 2008 / early 2009), a new track from the LP has surfaced. The mid-tempo ballad titled ‘Finding My Way Back’ sees the 20 year old lament on her continued return to a ‘bad relationship’.
In news that is hardly surprising, ‘singer’ Cassie has confirmed that she, indeed, was dating her label boss Diddy, adding that they have since split:
Diddy and singer Cassie are no longer dating, she tells Usmagazine.com — but that didn’t stop them from leaving a NYC party together Wednesday night.
“I will confirm that rumor,” the 21-year-old told reporters who asked her to confirm split rumors at DJ Cassidy’s birthday at Cipriani 23rd Street.
Though Cassie tells Us she’s not seeing anyone special “right now,” a party source spotted Diddy and Cassie “slipping out” together after the soiree ended.
The “Me & U” singer, who is signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy record label, has been spotted out and about with the mogul.
Earlier this month, they reportedly dodged photographers at NYC hotspot Marquee while leaving in the same car. {Source}
We all knew how she got her record deal, I guess we now know how she kept it. SMH…

Rihanna performed on the Spanish version of American Idol – Operación Triunfo – last night. You can view her performance of ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ above as well as her rendition of ‘Hate That I Love You’ with Spanish star David Bisbal below:
Though her sheep-bleating vocals and lack of stage presence kinda ruined any chance of me actually enjoying the ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ performance, the ‘Hate That I Love You’ performance was better; weird, as, for the most part, the song doesn’t move me.
What do you think of the performance(s)?
