The highly anticipated video for Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Not Myself Tonight‘ premiered literally seconds ago on VEVO. The Hype Williams-directed clip was shot to support the song which has fallen to #49 on the Billboard Hot 100 since debuting at #23 last week. Check out the video below:

According to our friends over at Rap-Up, gyrating Pop starlet Shakira is already hard at work on the follow-up to last year’s ‘She Wolf’ LP. Indeed, the 32 year old recently clocked up studio time in Miami with hitmaker Rico Love, who dished on the project. Check out what he had to say below…

During LeToya‘s set at R&B Live tonight, she was joined on-stage by fellow Destiny’s Child alumni Michelle Williams.

While the nature of the pair’s collaboration remains unknown (though both Williams and Luckett suspiciously allude to a surprise on Twitter), it’s definitely pleasantly surprising to see them teaming up.

Pit against each other for years, after Williams replaced Luckett in Destiny’s Child (who went on to achieve their great success as a trio), this marks the first time the ladies have been snapped together.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this plays out!

British boyband JLS have confirmed that the first single to be lifted from their as-yet-untitled sophomore LP is titled ‘The Club Is Alive’.

Set for release on July 4th, the song’s accompanying video will be shot in the US, where the four-piece are currently recording new material.

————————————————

While it’s a given that JLS’ music and artistry hardly rock my world, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little glad to see such a group succeeding (take from that what you will) – even if they are kinda rubbish LOL. Saying that, surely a little more downtime to work on their craft, before the release of a new album, wouldn’t go amiss. They clearly need it.

Still, I guess with the group catering to the ficklest of audiences, actually being any good doesn’t really matter. In any case, it’ll be interesting to see what they serve up this go round.

Rapper Eve has been out of the spotlight for almost 3 years, and in January confirmed that she has parted ways with Interscope – her label home of 11 years. In a new interview with VIBE, the self-proclaimed ‘pit-bull in a skirt ‘ elaborates on the split, revealing  the mishandling of her shelved 2007 LP ‘Flirt’ to be the reason for her departure. Check out what she had to say below….

Brandy‘s new VH1 reality show ‘A Family Business’ has proved a ratings winner, with it’s weekly dishing up of drama no doubt a major factor of its success. Last night’s episode was no different, with the singer shown hitting out at former friend and collaborator Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins to brother Ray J, who is set to work with the hitmaker.

As the video, which you can watch below, highlights, the former Moesha star, holds Jerkins responsible for the poor performance of her last LP ‘Human’ – which he executive produced. Check it out below….

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber sent fans in Australia into such a frenzy that a planned promotional performance had to be scrapped by police today, due to safety concerns.

The 16 year old was scheduled to perform a number of his hits on morning show Sunrise, before a crowd of 7,000 screaming fans. However, following the collapse of 10 young girls before the show even began, Australian law enforcement ordered that the performance be moved to the show’s studio, with fans able to watch from its glass windows. Bieber’s set was downscaled to just one song (‘Baby’) as part of the revised arrangement.

British boyband JLS made their US television debut today on NY PIX 11, performing new single ‘Everybody In Love’.

From our standpoint, this was another ‘by-the-numbers’ performance of the song (which, as UK’ers, we’ve seen a million times already). However, we’re really keen to hear what folk think of the Jive-signed group’s first live American showing.  Peep their performance below…

Siblings Brandy and Ray J have been doing the promotional rounds for their hit VH1 reality show ‘A Family Business’, most recently stopping by The Wendy Williams Show –bringing along their mother and father, Sonia and Willie Norwood.

As ever, Wendy left no stone unturned, which made for a an awesomely candid interview; topics discussed included lace-fronts wigs, Brandy’s tragic car accident, and Ray J’s infamous ‘tape’ – which Mother Norwood had some choice words about. Check it out below….

After a few hiccups, it appears things are back on track with Fantasia‘s new album. Now set for release in June, the LP will be preceded by first official single ‘Bittersweet’ – which surfaced a few moments ago.

An Old School inspired mid-tempo, this one really creates a worthy backdrop for the richness of Fantasia’s voice to take centre stage. As a first single, however, it could could go either way for the American Idol alum; many (myself included) expressed such concerns when Fanny’s label mate Monica released ‘Everything to Me’ – and we all know what happened there. So, here’s hoping Fantasia’s situation echoes that – as I’m sure her label are hoping (I say this, as it first looked as if they opted for a more Pop route with ‘Even Angels’, only to return with a bonafide R&B cut).

Tidbit: As previously reported, Fantasia’s VH1 reality show, ‘Fantasia For Real’, has been renewed for another season.
