With the release of Mary J. Blige’s album ‘Growing Pains’ drawing nearer, new material from the anticipated LP has surfaced. ‘Work That’ sees Blige proclaim a self-appreciation message. Though I’m feeling the song’s overall positivity, it sounds like an album-only track. I’m hoping the album has better material than this. ‘Growing Pains’ hits stores December 18th.Hit or Miss?

I am not the biggest Mary fan but I was feeling the breakthrough all the way. So far growing pains sounds like a rush job with a positive message. Hopefully it has better material then this good luck Mary.

This album is going to flop big time. Just Fine was ok and this is straight garbage.

The song is actually called, “Work With What You Got”. Unless it was shortened last minute, that was the official name of the song as given by Sean Garrett. I like it.

I agree with the above comment. The songs sound a bit rushed. The new song has to grow on me.
