In an attempt to revive his luke-warmly received ‘Here I Stand’ LP, Usher is set to go for the dual-single approach for the album’s third release. Title track ‘Here I Stand’ as well as ‘Trading Places’ are to be serviced to radio shortly. It’s unknown at present whether both singles will receive the video treatment.While I’m glad the record’s standout cut (IMO) ‘Trading Places’ is to be released, I can’t help but think this whole project has missed the mark. With Usher not being one to dish albums on a yearly basis, it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll do to salvage his increasingly unstable status as prince of R&B.

I dont think that it will make a difference. I didnt get his album cuzz he was way to cocky for me. I think his time is up. The BET awards were horrible his performance was as whack as Keyshia Cole’s. Trading Places should be decent for him but I don’t see Here I Stand doing anything for the album in terms of selling more copies. What’s a man to do or His mistakes would be better choices, but IMO there isn’t much to choose from on the album that will be #1 single material. He’ll have to do a Mariah Carey with the Mimi album on the next record.
Tht album is a wrap I mean after confessions to top that will be like michael trying to Top the thriller album its just not gonna happen. Not to mention firing his mom. Alotugh shes back on the scene with him now its a little to late to save this project. Moms help make that money for usher and that was one of his biggest mistakes. Chris Brown, Ne Yo, hell even the Dream all are good artist and they write there on music giving them the edge as well. Usher Like monica isnt the greatest writer at all but can perform well what hes given. Someone shouldve given him some better material this go round.

I like Usher’s album. It just didn’t get the promotion it deserved. Of course he isn’t going to sell 1 mil in 1 week like Confessions. Music was different 4 yrs ago. I like Chris Brown and I LUV NeYo but they will never be on Usher’s level, imo…

Usher has left it too long. He should have released a follow up within a year / year and a half. And his new album isn’t that revolutionary. Bit like Mariah Carey’s album; more of the same old. It’s not bad though, but not exactly wow wow WOW!

are ya’ll trippin…usher is good believe me you but chris is a wayyyy better dancer,actually i think he brings it as good as usher use to if not better….the only thing usher has on that boy is that usher can really sang! his vocal runs are always on point,chris on the other hand is a good singer but not great,he has the potential to be great if he would stop singing in that baby voice i mean damn!! i cant stand usher but i am always drawn to how well he can sing,same wit bey,i didnt like her after the first dc break up but i couldnt deny her voice for long and that whole dislike thing didnt last very long
