As Ciara continues to ready what is said to be a ‘secret project’, a song from the R&B starlet has surfaced in the form of ‘Flaws & All’.
While few details have emerged about the track, it was reportedly recorded during the sessions for the singer’s ‘Basic Instinct’ LP

Now this is more like it! With its smooth production (which boasts that all-important ‘knock’) and Ciara’s ability to ride it effortlessly, how and why this was left off the final tracklist is beyond me.
Is it single-material? No. A solid album track? Yes. The latter being something particularly lacking on ‘Basic Instinct’ (still shudders at the thought of ‘Girls Get Your Money’).
Here’s hoping Ms. Harris serves up more of this on her next studio release.

its just about okay.. and no to the Aaliyah “Rock The Boat” comparision.. this flaws and all sounds unfinished and the way she is singing sounds like she is trying to hard.. Aaliyah didn’t do none of that.. she had some crazy harmonies going and that song gave a summer vibe.. Now ciara’s flaws and all is just a track.. it doesn’t give me anything really.. the beat is what’s somewhat good..

This girl really need a better team! All her haters were given this round because she wasn’t set up properly. They let this girl flop, when she was definitely meant to be an r&b cross over star! Anyone with ears know this, even if you’re not admitting it. I still will rock B.I. and I don’t care what anyone says it’s the best album of last year! I’m not a Cici stan (although I know I may sound like one). I’m just sick of people ganging up on this girl, when there are so many simple, gimmicky artist that’s getting away with murder! Usually I feel the way Ciara is being handled is a mess. But I think this song is fire – she needs to do more stuff like this. For the people critisising her vocals, you KNEW you wasn’t going to hear her belting out a ballad as soon as you opened the post, so why you would act as if you expected it I do not know.
You don’t always have to be an amazing vocalist to make a good jam. This is Ciara’s voice. It has been the same voice since her debut, she will always hold her same tone. If you do not like it, you never will.

The beat is nice, but this song is just okay. CERROR is obviously not a vocalist, so she can’t get by on material like this, but nobody is checking for this dated type of smooth hip-hop/R&B now-a-days. People can “hate” all they want on CERROR because she deserves it. Face it, she has no damn talent and her so called dancing is repetitive and nothing but ghetto hip-hop stripper moves! She flopped because she made s*****, ghetto, immature music! She was in charge of picking the producers she wanted for Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct and told them what sound and type of songs she wanted and they turned out to be messes! She can’t produce, write, sing… why is she in this business? She got lucky during her Goodies days because Crunk & B was in, now, she can’t fit in anywhere.
By the way, stop saying that it’s not fair that people gang up on her while other untalented music artists get by. This is definitely a good look for Ciara. I think people really appreciate songs like this from her. She sounds good on songs like these. I wish they would’ve included this on the album. I love the album but the way it was handled was a smoldering hot mess. They left some big songs off the final tracklisting (“Flaws & All,” “Get It Girl,” “Shut Em Up)…so sad.

Heard this last night! It’s a really great track. She is obviously not the best vocalist, but she handled herself well with this one. I for the life of me can’t understand why the hell this didn’t make the album. This was better than damn near every track on ‘Basic Instinct’. Her team really failed her with this project I swear. Bad decision, after bad decision,after bad decision. ‘Basic Instinct’ was bound to flop! SMH.
I don’t think it sounds anything like like ‘Rock the Boat; but it is still a good track.

i don’t get what going on with ciara i can only think that her team are not really supporting her because the track list on basic instinct was not very good.
the stand out tracks were ‘Ride, Speechless, Gimme tha’ but still i know ciara can do much better. i do love ‘I Run It’ & ‘Yeah I Know’ but the other songs on the album i feel weren’t worth putting on the album. now I’m hearing all these different songs that didn’t make the album & I’m think what wrong with her team why was this song not on the album because it was needed to make it sell more. ‘Secret ,Blauw & Flaws & All’ should have been on the album. I feel like ciara is trying to mix her signature sound which is 90s R&B mix with Janet Jackson & Crunk with the in techno sound of the moment. which is the problem she being false into making the current trend sound instead of breaking through the mainstream with her sound.
