Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ is continuing to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 but another superstar entertainer is hot on her heels. Jennifer Lopez’s ‘On The Floor (Ft. Pitbull)’ has debuted in the top 10 of the chart, becoming her 1st single to reach the tally’s summit in 8 years.
‘On The Floor’ enters this week’s Hot 100 lineup at #9, giving Lopez her 1st top 10 single since ‘All I Have (Ft. LL Cool J)’ which hit #1 in 2003. The track, which sold an impressive 170k downloads, is also her 1st top 20 entry since 2005’s ‘Get Right’ in 2005.
With increasing airplay and consistent sales, Lopez seems on course to challenge Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ for the top spot in the coming weeks. However, ‘Born…’ continues to break records by becoming the 1st song to debut at #1 and remain at the chart’s peak for 3 weeks since Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ in 1998.
‘Born…’ is also the first sing by a female artist to do this since Mariah Carey’s ‘Honey’ which was released in 1997. ‘Honey’ was Carey’s 3rd #1 single to debut at the top position, giving her more #1 starter entries than any other act in history.

I am so glad for J-Lo, she deserves it. Thanks to all the fans and non fans who say it right, and please don’t talk about some SO OVERRATED people here that everybody knows they can just make big in the US and not everywhere else. It’s a big difference to be overrated and a talented ARTIST. There are so many ageist people who still think their younger artists are something, but hey since they get enough supports from the US media and doing a lot of promos, it can make sense but look at Jennifer’ look, she clearly looks much younger and she can prove the age is just a number, she’s slaying not only in the US but in all the world and there’s no promo yet, her single did wonders in Europe and she didn’t even do even a radio interview since when ? 2007, even Louboutins had no official release date in Europe.

Plus she makes dance songs more than ballads, however, she was underrated many times when it comes to the awards, I know she has plenty of awards to be proud of, like the recent one, the legendary award of the World Music Awards, but I still see some artists who did not deserve to win many awards and when you see artists like Nirvana and many many others who never won a Grammy, then there must be a problem. Jen has sold 55 million albums in a short time with no international promo or a tour and we know how tours can increase the album’ sales, but she didn’t as she was busy in doing music and movies all time, now I’m ready for her tour that she already talked about. I’m extremely proud/glad or whatever for her comeback and seeing haters eating their words now. In brief, I should go and keep supporting my idol.
