After splitting with Motown Records in 2008, Grammy Award winner Mya decided to cater to the international market. For the past few years, the singer has released two albums exclusively in Japan. Now the ‘Lady Marmalade’ star is ready to reclaim familiar territory with the U.S. release of her latest album ‘K.I.S.S.’, which will be led by first single ‘Fabulous Life’.

According to Mya’s manager Mike Killmon, ‘Fabulous Life’ will reintroduce the Dancing With The Stars alum to American audiences.

This is terrible. From someone that grew up in the 90s, I adored Mya and her soothing R&B sound. However, this shows how trends are duplicated rather than originated.

Wow, this song is horrible! What are you guys talking about this sounds great? This is so dated. It’s totally 80’s and the only person who can do 80’s contemporary pop music is Gaga and that’s because it’s very electronic and gay/lesbian….literally that’s what the majority of her audience is. This is not in, it’s not modern enough to be a hit and plus Mya aint even signed to a major label. Radios aint gonna be checking for this.
mya’s new album is probably her best work to date…fabulous life is ok . its alot of better songs on her album. i think should she release “mess up my hair” or ” evolve” those song will get alot of attention and focus on the release of her album.
