With Kelly Rowland‘s third studio album ‘Here I Am’ but a few days away from release (July 25th), an unreleased cut from the LP’s recording sessions has surfaced in the form of the Soundz produced ‘Make Believe’.

Damn that’s a nice track. Her vocals have this pure quality to them. The harmonies were nice toward the end. The track itself is nice too, the guitar solo was nice too. Wouldn’t have hurt the record at all if it were included. A Bonus track possibly.

The song was O.K. Nothing to write home about, although I do remember Soundz raving about it like it was going to be Kelly’s break-through hit (NOT!!). I think it would have better suited Brandy. Every thing from the songs dismal tone to the background harmonies. It had Brandy’s name written all over it. But, Kelly does seem to be channeling her brown- skinned BFF in the studio these days (just wait for my Here I Am review), so it does not surprise me that she gravitated toward this song. I am glad though that it did not make the album. It’s not a feel good record, and Here I Am is DEFINATELY a feel good album. DEFINATELY!!!

Its a nice track. It def does not flow with the album though. It also reminded me of Brandy a whole lot! But they are friends so who knows what inspiration was behind this. And to the @itsjustme to say her album is whack def needs to listen again. Even if you not a fan, you know that album is not whack. But if thats your honest opinion then hey my bad. To each its own!

this has brandy all over it…BRAAAANNNNDYYYY all over.. Im sure brandy must have written this..harmonies.. theres even a bit in there that sounds like afrodisiac… all of these things make me like the songs.. the fact that brandy was behind this one.-when I saw make beleive I thought it was the make beleive that brandy was cookin up wid kadis and sean.. no shade to kelly im sure the album is worth the anitipation it deserves..but when u hear too strong an influence from another artist..hmmmm

I like Kelly’s album from the snippets I heard it is a solid album. She channels Bran alot because some of her earlier work like “Better Without You” clearly shows the Brandy influence. Brandy is the Vocal Bible so I am not suprised.

Some people keep saying that Kelly needs to go there with her vocals. But, everyone’s singing style is not about riffing, yelling and screaming. If every female singer sung that way, then people would be saying that their all trying to sing like one another. Everyone has their own style, and just because Kelly chooses to sing the way that she sings, doesn’t make her any less of an artist then let’s say Christina Aguilera for example. I personally like this song and wish it was included on the album. I will be purchasing “Here I Am” on the 26th!

Nothing special. The echo songs like Akon’s ” Sorry, Blame It on Me” . Some section song like she is talking, especial the chorus. The harmony and guitar solo is really good and I so love the end. It sounds unfinished.
