Natalia Kills Booted From ‘X Factor New Zealand’ After “Bullying” Clip Spreads Online

Published: Monday 16th Mar 2015 by David

After Perez Hilton accused Lady GaGa of sabotaging her career, Natalia Kills has been accused of doing the same to an ‘X Factor New Zealand’ contestant this week.

As a result, she’s been axed from the TV series.

What went down?

Find out below…

3 News reports:

Husband-and-wife judging duo Natalia Kills and Willy Moon have been fired from The X Factor NZ, following a scathing attack on a contestant during Sunday night’s live show.

In a statement this afternoon, MediaWorks chief executive Mark Weldon said last night both Kills and Moon made comments that were completely unacceptable.

“While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges,” he said.

“We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately.”

Kills, real name Natalia Noemi Cappuccini-Sinclair, and Moon avoided critiquing Joe Irvine’s performance entirely, instead accusing him of ripping off his slick new lookfrom Moon.

“As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you’ve copied my husband,” Kills began. “From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value or respect for originality?

“You’re a laughing stock. It’s cheesy, it’s disgusting. I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious. I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence even having to dignify you with an answer of my opinion.”

Her husband continued the attack, saying it was “cheap and absurd”.

“It’s like [Psycho character] Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing. It’s just a little bit creepy, and I feel like you’re going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and then kill everybody in the audience.” “It’s disgusting,” added Kills. “You make me sick. It’s absolutely disgusting. You have no identity, I can’t stand it. I’m ashamed to be here.”

X Factor NZ sponsors McDonald’s and 2degrees have both released statements to 3 News about the incident.

“We have spoken to MediaWorks regarding the incident involving Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, to make it clear that we believe the comments made were wholly unacceptable,” a McDonald’s spokesperson told 3 News.

Today’s announcement follows the launch of several Facebook pages calling for Kills to resign as a judge, with one attracting more than 50,000 ‘likes’ alone. A petition has also attracted more than 54,000 signatures.

FremantleMedia Australia’s Director of Programming, Jonathon Summerhayes, said his company was appalled at the “very poor judgement and intention” shown by the pair.

“We 100 percent support TV3 and MediaWorks in their decision to remove them.

“The X Factor does not tolerate the behaviour they displayed last night.”

X Factor NZ executive producer Andrew Szusterman said TV3 had acted decisively and in the best interests of the contestants.

“We now need to move on and give the contestants and the public the competition they deserve,” X Factor executive producer Andrew Szusterman said.

Earlier this morning fellow judges Melanie Blatt and Stan Walker slammed their colleague, with Blatt labelling Kills a “twat”, while Walker saying she was a bully whose actions were “disgusting”.

Tonight’s show will be judged by Walker and Blatt, with two new judges to be announced before next week’s show.

Good riddance that was just some straight up bullying. that why US> Europe Mega stars like Beyonce, riri, or Nicki will never tear apart contestant in a talent show like that but in the UK and specially in France you have those so called artists, local as f*** who think they are the biggest thing out there

    • LIL’ KIM IS THE G.O.A.T. March 16, 2015

Her speech would fit better if she delivered it to Stinkpussynika Garbaj. That bítch is a total ripoff of The Queen of Rap Lil’ Kim.

    • Mother March 16, 2015

New Zealand isn’t in Europe tho. Maybe you should worry less about talent shows and get an education?

It wasn’t even necessary to be that mean. She should’ve taken it as a compliment, bc if she thinks a white guy in a suit is original, then she is a disgrace to humanity. She’s thinking she’s original, when Jessie J wore that hairstyle 6 years ago, MJB wore that lipstick 15 years ago, Janet Jackson wore that makeup Palet 20 years ago, Paula Abdul judged a talent show 15 years ago, and I could keep going…
I’ve never seen such a b**** in my life, nor have I ever had such a digust for someone I’ve never met or don’t know. I’m glad she’s booted off. When she reflects in retrospect on “NZ presents Where Are They Now” I hope she becomes ass teary-eyed as that guy made me. Bye Felicia.

This is all too fishy. I believe they knew what they were saying and the commotion it would cause. They went out with a bang basically.

Girl the man just parted his hair and put on a suit. Is your husband from the 1800s?

  12. Mark111 March 16, 2015

She’s sitting there dressed like every emo goth chick from the 90s to the mid 2000s and he’s dressed like every
man that works in an office. Lol

  13. Truth About P!nk March 16, 2015

Thank god she’s gone. She was very rude to that young man.

OMG no. This is not acceptable and this won’t give Natalia Kills the right proper big introduction in the U.S that I was hoping for. I absolutely love my mix breed, Natalia Kills but this ain’t right.

This is the result of a narcissistic culture which thrives on controversy and “shade”. Simon Cowell helped popularize it and now we have people taking it to its logical extreme. This was absolutely awful and I’m glad they’ve been removed from the show. I really respect Mel Blatt for stepping in for the young man’s defense and putting that horrendous “couple” in their place.

    • Skyfall March 16, 2015

Nothing has changed as far as culture. Simon was just honest and some people couldn’t take it. These two are just full of themselves and think their important when majority of people don’t even know who they are.

  18. Adia March 16, 2015

Sorry her husband was the 1st person to wear a suit in a 60s style its 2015 there’s no such thing as originality everything in culture has bin done before her husband was influenced by something someone how dare they treat someone like that it’s rude

  19. Skyfall March 16, 2015

I would of embarrassed thier ass if they would of pulled that s*** with me

  20. Lucky March 16, 2015

To be quite honest, I think it’s sad Natalia Kills. You’ve been an artist I adored in the past. I remember you when you first released your single as “Verbalicious”. You’ve been so innocent, looked so naive and you’ve been such a nice girl so that it really hurts to see you like this. It’s not “artistic”; nor your human right to bash people the way you did. Your husband usually wears suits and ties. So what? It’s not unusual to wear a suit and a tie as a man. Do you think your husband invented this look? He didn’t. It’s funny that you once said in an interview, that you don’t want to be compared to Lady Gaga and that you think it’s really ugly and “not a nice thing” to compare artists with each other – especially when they work hard. You, dear Natalia Kills, you’ve betrayed yourself. The only thing/person you should be disgusted of is you and your mirror. You’ve been asking, if we wanted a real woman? Well, the answer is yes. But you’re far away of being a real woman.

I signed that petition. She is a disgusting arrogant person. Glad x factor stepped up and made the right choice

  23. Mother March 16, 2015

It’s funny how she’s there spewing all that hypocritical venom while she’s sitting there looking like a Mexican 2009 Lady GaGa. Girl, bye.

  24. AJ March 16, 2015

Shade aside, this is why her career never kicked off really. She’s a rude and arrogant b****. I’m surprised she even got a place on the judging panel – she should have been grateful for the opportunity to forge her career. It sounded like she was on drugs.

  25. @rihicon March 16, 2015

I guess her attitude is why her career never went anywhere

  26. How Many Drinks March 16, 2015

Idiot. Shes not even sorry for it.
